Yeah, it's an easy process and as you said, PSN should have been prepared for it, but you're forgetting the other servers that went done. This attack was also aimed at other games... There's kids on the group, but I'm sure more experience people are behind this too.

Servers are unstable at the moment, give them some more time ( I'll say one week ), and the game should be perfectly stable for the online multiplayer.

I remember my first online game on the Playstation 2, it was Tony Hawks Underground 2! I was really excited and after connecting to the server and see a bunch of players, my mind was blown. haha

I had two and they were both full of saves! They were pretty cool, and easy to use, I still have them and they're also still working! You could also easily transport them to a friends house.

Shutting it down completely will save you more energy, but I believe it's actually minimal. But hey, money is money, right? haha

Playing an MMO on the console seems weird... I like Diablo but I'll just keep playing it on my computer, because the mouse and keyboard is much more efficient.

Yes, I would do it! After you get used to the PS4 graphics, there's no coming back. You will notice a huge difference between the two.
