I spent a lot more time on the PS2. The thing is, that in the PS2 era, Sony had a lot of exclusives. Nowadays, that is not the case. I don't necessarily feel like I have to own a PS# because there are not many games that I need a PS3 to buy.

My first gaming console was a Sega Genesis. I got it second hand from my uncle on Christmas. I was so excited to get it. He had all of the sonic games, so I was set for games.

I personally never bought a PS3. My cousin bought his about 2 years back. I use his any time there is a PS3 game that I want to buy.

Not sure if you are a fan of the series, but I would recommend the Sims 3. You may want to hold out until Sims 4 comes out though. If you do pick it up, there are numerous expansions, so you will have hundreds of hours of gameplay available.

Sonic is not a completely wasted series. There are some recent gems like Sonic 4, Colors, and Generations. The biggest issue is that Sega doesn't seem to care about consistency. Almost every Mario game is good or great. Sonic is not like though. You have a few good ones and a bunch of bad ones.

I don't, but that is only because I don't have them anymore. I traded in my PSX to get my Gamecube. I then sold my PS2 to my cousin when I got a Wii. I definitely miss them sometimes though.

No, I only had the Wii and 360. Now I only have the Wii. I gave my 360 to my little brother. I don't buy tons of games, so it is pointless for me to try to support three consoles at the same time.

I never played this, but have watched reviews of it on youtube. It looks beautiful. I love the art design. Anette, I agree, it looks a lot like Valkyrie Profile.

If I had to pick one reason, it would be games. Yeah there is the price and everything, but at the end of the day, if it had games that I wanted, I would invest the money in it. As of now, I prefer to spend money on my 3DS.

Yeah I would go with Crash. I have never played Jak and Daxter, but that's because they have never appealed to me. I would love to see a solid Crash Bandicoot revamp.

Not any time soon. There is too much money invested to just give up on the Vita. It hasn't been out nearly long enough for them to have another handheld available to replace the Vita with.

For me, it has to be Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I have replayed that game close to 10 times. It is a masterpiece. Second place would probably be Pokemon Gold/Silver/HG/SS assuming that it's fair to group them together.

I remember enjoying the soundtracks of the Kingdom Hearts series. Final Fantasy X is another game with some memorable tracks. Square Enix definitely knew what they were doing with game music.

Never thought of that, but great point. No way are your average parents going to know how to set up an advanced gaming computer. If consoles functioned that way, they would lose a lot of their younger and casual market.

Good point. Millions and millions of people have played violent games. A handful of those people have been violent. I know those incidents are tragic, but it is not right to judge an entire group of people based off a few bad apples. The bigger issue like you said is parenting.

See that is a real incentive to buy digital games. As a Nintendo fan, it is frustrating that buying games digitally only gives you a few more Club Nintendo points. If there were discounts, I would consider buying digitally more often.

Yeah good point. It was just immaturity for me as a kid. Just to clarify though, I never smashed a controller off the floor. It was just that controllers would eventually stop working properly after repetitive abuse from me tossing them.

I would love to do this for several games from my childhood. Most notably, Ocarina of Time and Pokemon Gold And Silver. I have played those games dozens of times, but I know I will never be able to recapture that feeling from when I first played the games.

It isn't for me. The story is wonderful and is certainly one of the best video game stories ever. The gameplay however, is just not there for me. It felt repetitive and only there just to get to the next story segment. I get why people like it though.

I'm not generally a DC fan, but the Joker is a brilliant villain. He is not tough by any sense of the word, but he is brilliant and deranged. The mind games he plays are just beautifully vicious.
