It depends on the thing being focused on - in terms of background, armor, weapons, and the like we'll get there in no time. In terms of people it might take a while longer, because the human eye is very picky about what is and isn't an actual person.

It is okay, but I care less about facial twitches and more about story, gameplay, and just plan caring about the final product. So long as this new tech doesn't take away from those things - yay! Otherwise it can go die in a ditch.

PS2 of course - it was my main go to system for quite a number of years and developers really put their might behind it. Some of the best games were released for it and I still hold many of them. Even at the end developers put on quite the show. So yeah.
