15 new prestiges/Grand Master Prestige with way to unlock elite guns coming March

Oberon

Yep. If you are already Master Prestige in Advanced Warfare (I just got there :Onya ) and still wish to level up then you will be please to know Sledgehammer will be adding another 15 prestige levels with the highest being Grand Master Prestige.
Prestige emblems are same as 1-15 now but are gold in color and just like unlocking bits of Atals Tier One armour as you level up Master prestige leveling up gets new bits amour as well. Its a cool weird looking purple suit this time.
Also prestiging up unlocks you some elite weapon variants,so if you dont get them in supply drops you will get some this way.

With the all-new Master Prestige ranks, inventive ways to earn 15 Elite Loot Weapons, and a brand new Grand Master Prestige Gear Set, we’re adding new ways to level up and earn rewards in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The all-new Master Prestige ranks and Grand Master Prestige character gear set give Max Prestige players the chance to continue to rank up and earn XP. When you enter Master Prestige your player XP is reset, challenge status remains the same, and challenges are not reset. Each new rank of Master Prestige unlocks a specific Elite Loot Weapon for use in multiplayer matches – be sure to check out the chart below for details. At the Grand Master Prestige ranking, players will also unlock the exclusive Grand Master Prestige Gear Set. The set is clad in purple royalty camo and accented with gunmetal for a truly unique look in game. All of these features are coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare in March. Stay tuned to our studio social channels for more information.

They announced the new way to get elite guns --Its pay for "Advanced" supply drops that promise to give at least One Elite item.

You mean microtransations for elite guns?
If so its not pay to win,as elite guns can be unlocked ingame anyway,so paying for them this way is just a shortcut to get them quicker.Handy for people who dont play much I guess.

Its a lose term of to pay to win. Yeah you can't buy the Bal Inferno for £2 or whatever but you can buy 'advanced supply drops' which guarntees 3 items, all to be equal to or above professional level and has a very high chance of one Elite weapon per drop and increased chances of getting 3 Elites whereas right now the chance of getting 3 elite weapons is like 0.2 chance or something.

It is pay to win almost because its giving a VAST increase in chance of getting an elite weapon(s) in fact you're almost guaranteed it.

You're paying for a vast increase in chance of getting an ELITE weapon so its pretty much in the ball park of pay to win. Its like what Free to Play games do, you can grind for 12 hours to get coins to buy something or you can drop a couple quid and get the item you need which is pay to win.

If they were regular supply drops then I'd agree with you but they aren't they're supply drops that give you vastly better odds of getting better weapons.

I get your point but its not like even the elite versions are always better than the rest,or are somehow OP always. Most have heavier negatives to counter the high positives specs.
But pay to win,hmm...I still dont fully agree.I mean they are still in the game to unlock as normal. And even if you buy an 'advanced supply drop' you still know which elite version of a gun you are getting. What if you have it already? Perhaps the game knows and gets you a diff one...dunno.

Still,I think Sledgehammer should just stick to unocking elite version as you master prestige up.
Not sure this is a good idea anyway though, its milking it a little to much.

See I think we're more going for a 'pay for an advantage' with CoD now. I mean you can now buy advanced supply drops which to me isn't fair. If you have a higher chance of getting better guns and a lot of them are better than their originial, even with negative attributes, its still unfair and you're potentially getting a good advantage. I'm sorry but I can't support such a model. Its entirely unfair and the developers/publishers are getting greedy. Camos, Exo Suits, Better Supply Drops etc.

Where the hell are the days when you paid £40-£50 for a game and weren't encouraged to buy extra shit? I mean seriously where did they days go. Its not exactly like developers are spending more money developing games. Games are not getting more complex and they're actually spending less time in development these days but somehow the consumer is paying more? Somehow they feel the need to have 'more money'

Take Evolve, launched day one with over 50 items in their 'store' that was content they could have had in the game by default. The developers turned around and said "We want a evolve to be like a freeium game." However you paid £50 for the game in the first place.

I dunno maybe I'm too money concious, maybe I don't see it from the publishers directions. But overall I hate the way the gaming industry is going.

Its not pay to win in the sense we know.
Pay for a 'possible' advantage,yes.
More like 'gamble for a possible slight advantage..or head start'.

But yes,I do agree they shouldnt have added those to buy.
btw,still not on PS4 yet.
