EA Sports has announced 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will release "exclusively" as a full retail title for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 15 in North America and April 17 in Europe
EA's official blurb promises the ability to "accelerate, decelerate, and change direction quickly on and off the ball with Explosive Movement" and a new World Class Control feature which uses "Response Dribbling and Pinpoint Passing".
The Road to the FIFA World Cup is described as "the most immersive tournament mode from any EA SPORTS title", in which players can choose from 203 national teams and play with one to 32 players locally through the qualifying rounds, and on to the group stages of the FIFA World Cup. Road to Rio de Janeiro is an new mode that lets players win their way across a map of Brazil's 12 host cities in licensed and authentic stadiums.

And for those wondering why EA are not releasing this for the X1 or PS4, they tweeted last night that they "are making the best game they can for their largest audience which is still on 360/PS3"
I'm not too fussed about that, in FIFA 14 Manager mode you can mange a national team right from the off which will include the international friendlies, WC qualifying and the actual tournament.
