Check out this video of the UI in action, it is a little corny but gives you a good idea what joining games and how the social aspect fits in. One of the PS3's biggest weaknesses look like they have been addressed very well. I really like that you have to option to download just the MP part of the game if you want to jump right in.

I'm sure, nobody plays like that. I would be great though instead of blocking all friends that you have it open to some. Like if my 8 year old gets on and wants to send me messages via the ipad I can get them but have everyone else turned off.

it's understandable that some ppl don't want it, but i can't wait to see all the features first hand! =D

But seriously, I wonder what you think of the style of the new interface! Your opinion really matters!
I almost want to create a topic for it.

Personally, I find that the interface is beautiful but a little too simple for the moment!
And the social side of Afterwords is me! We can share what we want with our PSN friends.

I just want one thing! The fluidity!

That's literally the smallest concern I have. I care so little about the user interface (as long as it's functional); I don't know why everything has to be a "social experience" nowadays, anyway. I don't need to be able to socialize with every single device I have, but I have no problem with people who do. I just think their attention is better focused elsewhere.

Looks interesting but it does seem to go a little bit overboard with the friends side of things. Mind you that the console is still in development and it can still all change, but at the moment it looks fine really, no major complaints. I just wish that it's functional and easy to use, and that the social elements aren't too intrusive. After all I want to be playing games , not chatting to people.
