About to buy my PS4 in China. Please help re:psn

Hello there everyone,

I'm English but I live in China and I'm about to buy a PS4 but I have a few questions.

If I buy an American ps4 is the psn payment restricted to being in America? Can I buy a pre-paid card or can I use my pc to pay?

Does my psn region location determine where I will be connected to when playing online? What I mean here is that if I buy an American ps4 then set it up and use it in China will the servers try to connect me to Japan and HK which are closer so I'm assuming will give me better speed or will they try to connect me to the USA servers?

I'm just a bit apprehensive about spending so much money and then inputting something wrong and getting my account locked out or something so if anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dusty

Regarding PSN payment, that depends on how you made your account(whether you made US account or UK account or etc...)

I think online play will be depending on where you live, most probably you connect to Asia or Australia servers, but I'm no expert on online play, so other guys can help better.

PSN depends on what region you sign up for when you create your ID. In other words, your PSN account is not restricted by the region of your console. As for the online thing, I'm not entirely sure but I do believe that you're connected to other players based on your country and not the region of your game. I may be wrong on this, will need further clarification from others.

Yes. Im in AUS and most of the CoD games I bought in the past were UK copies and its not like I ended up in UK lobbies..lol
I sometimes wound up in a US game, but that was dependant on time of day,how many were playing that game mode etc.
The game searches for best connections I believe, locally and then circles out further and further if none are found.
But some CoD games had an option to manually set search parameters, that was good. You could set for local only, country or worldwide.

Anyway,to answer the question,it doesnt matter where your game is from, whether its multiplayer is P2P hosting or dedicated servers Im quite sure it will still search best connection/locally and then circle out.
