Advice Wanted....

Preface: I am not a big video game player, but my son got me to play occasionally and I really liked the games that have a story to them... I have played and finished Watchdogs, Grand THeft Auto V, and Last of Us .... enjoyed them......

What is a good game that has a story to it like the above? I enjoy the story as much as the game play itself....

Give dragon age inquisition a look, a fantastic game, i am 60 hours in and no where near finished, that may sound like you would get sick of playing it but believe me you don't.

I don't normally play role playing games but in this you don't need to control the other players you just let them do their own thing (you can control them if you want) so game-play is quick to learn, its one of those games where you say you'll just give it another half hour several times before shutting the console down.

If you dont mind playing on PS3 (or are you after PS4 games only?) then defo Half Life 2 The Orange Box.This can be picked up very cheap now as its an early PS3 title (itself a PC port) with no trophy support.
But man,its a top game.Game and story are great.
Includes Half Life 2,Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 add ons as well as Portal and the MP game Team Fortress 2.

Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Infamous Second Son have nice stories too.

Nice post. For me the game and it's story are 70% of the reason i play them.

For the PS4, story wise, these are my favourites.

The last of us DLC - Left behind. THE most emoptional game i've ever played
The Last of US main story
Valiant Hearts - I'm a big rough tough rugby player, but i was in bits at the end of this story
I'm currently playing Wolfenstein and it's got a really good story
The Walking Dead Season 1 - i don't do zombies, but i LOVE stories and the way they have done this is incredible. First chapter is boring but it soon kicks off from Chapter 2 onwards

Not played it Yet but i hear Transistor has a great story
I've not played all the way through Alien Isolation yet either but the story of that is gripping me too.

The evil within is no bad I have just started chapter 4 and I am quit liking it

Alien Isolation has a good story and evil within also neither are last of us levels of story but good games to get stuck into.
