Now we all know and have read that there will be no GTA V for next gen consoles,at least thats what Rockstar have said, well not exactly, they said they have 'no plan' for a GTA V version, and I guess some people are hoping and waiting.

But...

Gamespot said:
According to Robert W. Baird analyst Colin Sebastian, Rockstar Games' open-world game Grand Theft Auto V will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014.

Now again, this is only his opinion,so who really knows.
If it would happen,I know some people may be angry as they would have waited, and thus kinda making people buy it again cause 'its that good'.
Again, many people dont care would love to buy it again with the PS4's power.

What's your opinion on this and if were defo going to happen?

Oh man. You know what? I would probably upgrade to the PS4 version for this game. If they were to release it on the PS4, I'd hope they would once all the possible DLC was released so we could get something like "Grand Theft Auto V: The Definite Edition"

Yeah, now that would be OK I think for sure.

But how different will the game be? Will there be any exclusive things to those versions? Maybe they will release it at the same time as a PC version?

...which reminds me, where is my PC version of Red Dead Redemption?

It's pretty much a given. Even though it would take some time to port it over, they'd rake in millions. For those who have played it, how does it run? Any lag or slowdown for any of you?

There's no way that I would buy a second copy of this game. I'd rather buy a new game for my PS4 that is something new and fresh, not a redundant nearly identical copy of GTA V. I mean, how much are they going to change in the version of the next generation? It is a smart business move, though.

If Rockstar said from the beggining that there will be a PS4 and XB1 version of GTA5, then a lot of people would just wait until the next gen console's came out and bought it then.
It's always about money and Rockstar (or any other game company) wants to you to pay for GTA5 as soon as possible. And then they want you buy it again for the next gen version which will have upgraded graphics and exclusive DLC.

Hmm. I wonder, will it be worth waiting for? Will it come out on PC before it moves to next generation? I'm still quite keen on buying it for 360.

I think they're probably going to release the PC version at the same time as these versions. I don't think the nextgen editions of the game are going to sell that well since people that really wanted the game will have already bought it. No point buying a new copy of the game for another 60 bucks just to get it on your new console, unless they include something really worth it with the game.

Yeah, hard one..I would defo be tempted, especially holding out for Game of the Year ed or something with added DLC..who knows.

I played it today and even though it is very impressive. I can wait until it's cheaper or until my friend is done with it. Everything it so detailed especially the character facial animations. For sure it's coming out for the PC and by then it'll have any bug or glitchs fixed and could have some new DLC content on it too.

You know, I honestly think all analysts are full of crap.

But I wonder if the next-gen systems can run GTAV as is at 60fps (instead of the 30fps on current-gen). If it DID happen, I would hope it's some "GotY" edition with more content or whatever. Bah, we'll see.

I completely agree with that as I may have mentioned previously. That said I honestly feel like this could go in either direction, that said Rockstar is generally a company of their word. If they can't currently see putting in the time and effort to decently port over this game then they aren't likely to do it. More likely they're focused on either making something new for the coming systems or making a newer installment in one of their other franchises. Either way I already paid out my funds for one copy of this- that's freaking it.

You don't need to be an expert analyst to know that it's going to come to next gen consoles and PC sometime later next year.

The question is, would people still buy the product of they have it already on their PS 3s and Xbox 360s? I don't have the game yet, but if I'll get it for the PS 3, I would no longer get it on the PS 4. I'd rather purchase a fresh new game rather than a rehash of a PS 3 game that is less than a year old.
