Any World of Warcraft fans here?

Blizzard recently sent out an email to former subscribers that enabled them to play free for a week, so I've been getting back into WoW. I know WoW has been steadily losing subscribers (but still remains the most popular MMO) but I was curious if any of you guys play. So do you?

Nope, I for one can't comprehend how some people have bee playing this game for more than few years now. This is really ridiculous to me. I couldn't stand the game for more than a couple of hours.

Yeah, I don't understand how people play WoW so much. It just seems pretty boring to me, but maybe I just don't like that type of game. I'm more about the strategy games and FPS games, but not like CoD. I'm a huge CS:GO fan which combines strategy with FPS. I wish there were more games like that.

I was a huge WOW addict a few years ago. It was sucking up so much of my free time and started to creep into my "real" life and interfere with work etc. Buying a PS3 cleared me of my WOW addiction. That first year, I only got back on WOW for a month around Christmas time. And I haven't been on it since. My name is TheMac. I am a WOW addict. It's been 3 years since my last logon. Yes, you too can kick the habit.

After the Burning Crusade expansion, things kind of died out for me. It's not like it was bad, it just that, everything started going wrong for Blizzard, so i jumped the boat and never looked back. But i still have good memories of those games.

I loved the game for about six months, but there comes a time when you have to play something else. That is the problem that I have with many MMOs. There is always something new and exciting. I have come to believe that WOW is so popular solely because it is, in fact, popular. It's riding its own coat-tails and managing to create a massive black hole that draws in people who want to play a fun MMORPG but don't want to waste their time or money looking through the thousands of other titles.

I do. I don't like a lot of things from this game but I do love the raiding mechanic. I have 8 friends who just got back to play the game as well and they all are friends in real life. I've been raiding SOO since it came out and was hoping to open up the heroic today but we didn't get Garrosh so it's bummer. I am not sure when you quit but they changed a lot of things in the game. The talent for one,not quite a fan of it but the raiding still fun. I love 25m raid. it feels epic. They should bring back 40m ;p
