Anyone else worried?

Let me start by saying, I'm very excited about this game! The gameplay looks awesome and the multiplayer sounds like it's headed in a good direction. The one thing in worried about with the online is that anyone can jump into your single player game. The reason I'm kinda worried about this is because of GTA5. Online you were constantly run down by random people in their cars and stuff. Don't get me wrong, it was fun when hats what you wanted, but now if I'm playing single player and that happens out of no where I will be so frustrated. I'm hoping they have some deterrents in place. From what I've read you can change it to where your not always online, but I wouldn't mind being online playing like the trailers show. I'm worried about the people who try and ruin everyone's experience.

Anyone else concerned?

They said the online thing is intelligent, where if the game notices you have no interest in online intraction, they dont let other people pop in your game.

I wonder if both parties need PS+ for the online content to be available.

I think they will need PS+ to play multiplayer. I would hope parties would be supported. I had a blast with my forensic playing GTA5 online. Unfortunately, none of my friends play PS4 so I'd be solo for the most part. But still hope it's supported

I am not going to activate the online functionality in my game as I have absolutely no interest in it. I am playing watch dogs for the story and to explore a great world, and don't want to have to interact with idiots constantly trying to kill me.

You can turn it off entirely via the options.

They also said that it has a shield that detects how often you want to hack into other games and that tries to create an = ratio so if you did it once in like a long time then it will reflect that and you won't be hacked.

Secondly the person once entered only have 5 minutes to initiate the hack and then 60 seconds to start the download. It could be the other way around. I'd suggest heading over to the ubisoft forums and taking a look at the Watch Dogs section as it has tons of news items, videos and more explaining Watch Dogs Online and how it works.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see how they police the whole 'jump in to other people's games' situation. I hope it doesn't backfire because it seems like an interesting mechanic that could be implemented into future open world games. I'm also interested in the other modes where you go up against another group of hackers and try to retrieve the file. It seems like a fun war of attrition type of mode.

It probably is intelligent - or at least you would hope. I know that I wouldn't always want randomers joining in all the time haha.

Sounds like it can be disabled in the options so you probably have nothing to worry about. Should be fun to mess with after you're tired of singleplayer, though.
