Anyone got a game they're hooked on?

Have any of you got a game that over the years you just could't do without. The kind of game that even though you are enjoying whatever new game you are playing a part of you is still looking forward to finishing it so you can get back to your addiction.

The kind of game if you where left on a desert island with a console/ pc and one game for life you could happily make do with. A game that has stayed with you from platform to platform?

For me its fifa and football manager,,been playing both since their beginning and will probably always will

Any other game junkies out there ???

This should probably be in the game sections ,,sorry just realized ,,perhaps a mod can move

Probably the GTA series is what I ALWAYS go back to and Far Cry 3 also kept me going back for quite a while. Mariokart on the Wii has seen me and many drunk friends through a rowdy night in.:D

I still hang out with GTAO and I'm playing a lot of Super Mario 3D world, but if you're talking PS4 then I play a lot of Resogun. The challenge is there and I love the online co-op though I'm hoping that they add a little more I can spend hours on that game without any regrets.

Skyrim. I own it for PC, and whenever I get bored I'll just use new mods. It's a whole new game practically. Same with Fallout 3/NV, modding that game is a lot of fun. Lately I've been hooked on The Elder Scrolls Online, as I bought a beta key for $25.

I took a break from console games and now I'm obsessing over Plants vs. Zombies 2 on mobile. :D It's casual as hell but I loved the first game and this is the first time I got to play this second one and I'm determined to finish it.

I was playing Dark Souls all last week. The game is conscious and wants you to fail.

...I also had the 360 working against me with the constant "Please reconnect controller" at points where the game decides to lay a swarm beating on you.

If you have that rechargeable battery controller it can be the worst at times. Luckily I played Dark Souls on PS3, but I've played it on a friend's 360 prior. The very design of the game is meant for you to lose. Most games will go to the menu screen or some kind of prompt to stop gameplay if the controller isn't functioning. Dark Souls says "F*** that sh**, have some death, motherf***er."

I had to get Dark Souls for PS3. I don't know, maybe something is up with the charging cord or the battery needs to be changed, but it was just easier to get it for PS3. It's like $15 or $16 depending on who you buy from and where anyways.

I wouldn't say I'm 'hooked' to any PS3 game at the moment. I did go through a spell of a few months where I couldn't stop playing GTA5. However it’s been about a month, maybe six weeks since I last played that.

I can't see me getting hooked on any more Playstation games now until I eventually get a PS4 – so in terms of console games, this is looking likely to be one of the quietest years I've had until I finally take the plunge / make my mind up on what the future will be.

As the moment, I'm seriously into Alpha game '7 Days To Die'. It plays like Minecraft, with similar logistics but with slightly better graphics and zombies. It's currently on Alpha 7 (just – as of a matter of a few days ago) and I think I've been with it since Alpha 3 (ish). To say I'm hooked is borderlining on being an understatement at the moment… A couple of my favourite YouTuber's play this and that’s how I become aware of this game. There's no actual storyline that I'm aware of and it's just something which can just continue on and on – again, like Minecraft. It's something which you can both watch and play for at least a few hours in one sitting without getting bored. If this ever comes to a PS4 console release than quite frankly, I think I could easily waste about a quarter of what’s left of my life on this…

Another game which I’m hooked on and have been for about four or five months is 'Prop Hunt'. Again, I get involved with it after seeing a few of my favourite YouTuber's play it. I don't think I've ever played something quite so basic which is so addictive in my life. The idea is simple – become a prop in the map (of which there’s dozens) and don't die whilst you're hunted as the timer goes down. The possibilities are close to endless.

I will never be able to leave COD. Now that clans are so big it makes it 10X more enjoyable. Recently started playing minecraft and love it!! Excited for it to come out on PS4

There are a few games that I get hooked on until I beat them, like I did with Assassin's Creed 2 or Far Cry 3 (although I wasn't as hooked on that as I was AC2). CoD is always a great shooter that I come back to over and over again. Although I hate the fact that they're spitting them out left and right, the replay value on games like CoD and Battlefield are definitely the best out there.

Can't say that I have gotten into Minecraft. My hubby plays it and I think it looks so dumb! lol

Bought Diablo 3 recently and I'm really getting hooked on it. I'm not a big fan of this kind of game but I'm having a lot of fun playing as a monk. The degree of polish Blizzard puts in their games is astonishing.
