Anyone planning on getting both the PS4 and XBOX One?

I think I'm getting both at launch! I have both of them reserved and I want both of them I'm just not sure it's worth all the money! Is anyone else thinking of buying them both? Why are you doing it? I'm doing it because I have certain games I like to play on each of them as well as certain style games I like to play on one or the other.

I am planning on buying only a PS4 at launch, not because I can't afford bot, but because Microsoft has made some poor decisions with their gaming policies. Even though they have changed their minds on most things, their attempts to keep an "always online" feature as well as a mandatory connection of the Kinect camera, have driven many people away from any Microsoft product. Besides, every Playstation so far has been an amazing gaming console, I'm sure that PS4 will be more than enough for my gaming needs.

For now I'm just planning on buying a PS4 really excited about Destiny and Watch Dogs, and I just hope Naughty Dog announces either a TLoU sequel or a new IP. In 6-12 months when X1 has some nice exclusive games I will probably get one, hoping for new IP's because I don't really like the majority they have right now on 360 besides Forza and GoW. Let's wait and see!

Well, I think that's just a waste of money inasmuch as with that you could buy 3 or 4 games instead of another console with similar features. If you are rich or earning money by playing games go for it, but if not I don't recommend you that.
If you want to play games from both PS4 and Xbox what you could do is to exchange your console with a friend for the other one and try its games.

I will probably end up getting the Xbox One down the road but not until I build up a good PS4 collection first.

I'd buy every single console ever if I had the money. So, no. I've always gone with Playstation consoles because they have more exclusives that I'm interested in. That's the case this time around too, but if I did have the money, I'd rather get the WiiU instead of the XboxOne. That new Zelda, son (whenever it comes out).

I'll be buying only the PS4. Getting both doesn't seem like worth it to me. I mean there aren't a lot of exclusives out there and the most popular games show up for both consoles sooner or later. So why buy both?

PS4 is cheaper and is supposed to be more powerful. Just buy it and be done with it.

I'm going to stick with the PS4 first. There's more exclusive games I'd like, money is tight, XBox Live has never appealed to me. That's where I'm at now. Wait until a few days or weeks after launch, and my opinion may change based on feedback of gamers.

I might end up buying an Xbox One down the line, just out of curiosity. I'm not really familiar with any of their exclusive titles, but I mostly just want to experience the "high tech media center" aspect of it.

I'm pretty much PS4 only right now. Waiting to see how it plays out. I have more interest in the PS4 launch day titles as well. Once I see how Microsoft is handling things, I may make a decision to get one. Maybe when they have a new model come out like they did with the star wars xbox.
