Anyone up for a new PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale?

I know the first one didn't really sell well and the studio that created it has now closed down (from what I can remember) but the concept is pretty good. Obviously with Smash Bros hype and all these games have a lot of potential to be brilliant and I think they fell off just by a little bit with this one. I think a renewed version on PS4 with better mechanics and graphics would really be a selling point. They have a good base to start with. Not sure about the developer but maybe someone like Sumo Digital would be a good shout. Also they really need to splash the cash to get some of the beloved characters back again like crash and spyro even though that would be difficult. What do you guys think?

I honestly really enjoyed Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. I'd love to see a sequel. The only thing is I really don't think we'll ever see a sequel. I'd love there to be one though!

Yeah it goes for quite cheaply in places now. I would say to the general public it was deemed as a failure but players who bought the game and properly learnt it loved it. I used to play it every Wednesday at my Game Soc at Uni and there was always a divide between Smash Bros and All Stars. I do think it would be a risky move developing another one but I personally think it could be successful.

I wouldn't hold your breath for this. It may happen eventually, but there is a new Smash Bros out this year. That needs a few years to simmer before we start talking about more PlayStation All-Stars.

I agree that with Smash out this year, it can't be announced until maybe next e3. The Smash hype at the moment would destroy any hype for this. The problem with Smash I think is that because it was like the first brawler in a sense everyone grew attached to it and anything that tries to copy it is berated and has undeserved hate for it. I'm sure if All Stars was created before Smash this would all be a different story.

Yeah, All-Stars got a lot of "hurr durr smash clone" nonsensical hate. It was very sad to see...
