Anyone who's played Radiata Stories?

This game is one of the PS2's sleeper hits. Although you get to recruit all 177 characters, you will have to complete them in two playthroughs. For my first playthrough, I select the Human arc, and on the second, I go for the Fairy arc. While this is a great game, the storyline appears to be lacking. It is for that reason why I also bought the manga series based on this game, entitled the Epic of Jack and the Song of Ridley. The Epic focuses on the Human side, while Song focuses on the Fairy side. What surprised me are the divergent storylines in the Human side, since the manga takes a completely different approach to that of the game. For the Song though, the storyline isn't that much different, except that the manga appears to expound on the relationship of the two main characters and how they started a family of their own.

I didn't managed to complete it, because it was my friend's copy and he managed to lost it, but i remember having a great time playing it. It was one of those sleeper hits that was great at the time. Great characters, gameplay and soundtrack. It was great if they managed to rerelease it nowadays.

Agreed, I think this game deserves to be re-released, but unfortunately the sales record of this game is quite mediocre as far as the Western market is concerned. But if ever they re-release the game, I think they should have an option where you will play not only as the main character, but also other characters as well. However, I think it's better to have a sequel to the game instead of a re-release.

I think it was quit a good game, and I like the characters on it. I think the gameplay is okay but a bit repetitive. Aside from that though it's a decent game and I would be happy to play it again if I could pick it up for cheap.

This is really an amazing game, I mean really amazing, has a good storyline and it's long. . Radiata Stories is very similar to Dragon Quest 8. Its made by Japanese game developer Square Enix. Great game!
