There seems to be a HUGE amount of Japanese PS3 games i've never even heard of let alone tried and SOME of these must be good surely ?

If you've never heard of them... copy the title and put it into you tube or amazon and have a look!

Time and Eternity (PS3)

The Guided Fate Paradox (PS3)

Ar Tonelico Qoga - Knell of Ar Ciel

Trinity Universe (PS3)

Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk

Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland
Koei

Rune Factory Oceans (PS3)

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (PS3)

Agarest: Generations of War Zero...

Tales of Graces f (PS3)

Eternal Sonata (PS3)

Akibas Trip: Undead & Undressed

I haven't really played that much Japanese RPG games nor am I a fan but I've tried playing Time and Eternity. It was a pretty okay game but it's really repetitive to the point that it's just not enjoyable anymore.

I purchased both Agarest games that made it to the 360, and I don't think I played either one for more than an hour. They're traditional tactical RPGs, and the idea is that you do the usual fighting a la Disgaea etc., but you also hook up with a member of your party and have kids, and the kids carry on the fight for the next generation. Sounds interesting, right? Except it's not. I found the actual gameplay terribly repetitive, and was quickly bored before I ever started wooing the females of my party.

Unless you really like tactical RPGs, stay away.

One caveat: The second 360 game was called Record of Agarest War Zero. I'm not sure if it's same game that you have listed above.

I wanna get a ps3 pretty bad and one of the games I wanna play is that dumb game, Akiba's Trip. It's pretty dumb.. but I love it.

Rune Factory Oceans (PS3)

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (PS3)

Tales of Graces f (PS3)

Eternal Sonata (PS3)

From what I've heard, these games are supposed to be good. I have not heard of any of the others, though.

I will vouch for the Atelier, Tales and Hyperdimension Neptunia games. Not 100% sure about the others though. I've heard a lot of good about Eternal Sonata.

I hve only played Tales of Graces and I can tell you that it's a fantastic game. You should definitely give this game a go. You are going to love it.

I didn't see Eternal Sonata there. I played that some time ago and liked it quite a bit. The story is unlike any other game I've come across.

Strange list. I have to admit I haven't played any of these games. Goes to show we only focus on the mainstream games. Maybe it's time for me to start digging.

Yes, they are all worth playing. But I am a JRPG snob. Eternal Sonata is a must as is any Tales game. Seriously, do not miss out on these titles.

Time and Eternity is absolutely awful in every way and should be ignored. Extremely repetitive, awful story, awful characters, awful awful awful. Ignoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Atelier games are good but have a time limit and focus on crafting stuff so they're not for everyone. Tales of are always at least decent. Very cliched anime story most of the time and some dumb characters sometimes, but the gameplay is really fun due to the real time combat system.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory and Eternal Sonata are great Japanese RPGS, but I don't play them that much, so I have to admit I'm not expert.
