Are PS 1 games bought from PSN region free meaning that it can be played on other console regions? Let's say I bought a game from US PSN, will it work on my Asian PS3?

All games downloadable from PSN are free, except one, Persona 4 arena.

What lucas said, there are no region restrictions. You can make an account in any region with any console and download whatever that account has bought.
Except P4A, I guess, haha. It has region blocks because the US and JP versions came out at almost the same time with the exact same content (both languages text and audio) so they wanted to prevent JP players from importing it cheaper so they would buy their own version or something silly like that.
There might be another game or two with the same restrictions, but yeah... 99.9% of games should work fine regardless of region

Great thanks. Don't really play Persona so no worries. Now I can download some old classics from the US store to play. Been wanting to play some old games real bad. I wonder if they have Dino Crisis 2 at the PS store.
