Are you going to buy Unity?

I'll probably buy it. Maybe not at release day, since there's a lot of good games coming out that month. It looks like Ubi has overhauled a lot of the main components of the game (parkour, combat, quests, etc.). It'll be interesting to see how it all shapes up. Graphics look great and I'm excited to see how co-op will be implemented. A.I. still needs work though.

I know I have it marked on my calendar. Probably going to be Day 1 Digital for me. I'm getting too old for midnight launches.

Do people still really go to midnight launches for games? I find them kinda useless now with all the ways to get a game on release. You also have the Call of Duty thing where they give it to you a day earlier than the launch. Seems kinda pointless to me.

I know the definitely still happen and I've seen lines as early as 6PM. I don't know how attendance compares to years past though.

People do indeed still go to midnights and I am one of them--assuming of course I am not working. There is usually some event/contest taking place that occupies everyone's time. For example for the new NHL I am hosting a slapshot tournament. I think for Destiny we are doing a sort of airsoft shooting-range tournament and there will be lots of free food and drinks. Although I have to admit I have no idea why people show up so early and wait it out. If I am not working I just "pre-ring" my game, go home, then come back at like 12:05, get my game, and leave. Once midnight hits it usually takes about 15 minutes to get in and get out. I am curious how quick Destiny will move as we have a lot, and I mean a lot, of pre-orders on it.

None of that cool stuff happens around here. Every midnight launch I've been to has just been a line of guys in their early twenties standing single file silently.

Hmm I may buy it, but not on the release date though. I may wait a few weeks or so to get the game. I see that it may be a good game to actually play. I know at release date many still go and stand in line at midnight like many of you have said already, but I have games that I am already starting to play now since I have been on Dark souls, so have not played many games. I just started kill zone haha and I am not surprised that people still wait for games at midnight.

For the bigger releases we try to do fun things. The other day we decided to hold a little Pokemon get-together sort of deal where people could trade and battle within the store as well as get to know each. I am not sure exactly how well it went, but quite a few people showed up. Mostly kids, but hey whatever, it got them out of the house and socializing haha.

I'm heavily considering getting Unity but Rogue is coming out too so I don't really know which one to buy yet. I don't get why Ubisoft is releasing to AC games making me split between the two. I'm obviously not going to be buying both for sure. I'll wait for more gameplay videos before deciding.

From what I've seen of the game via YouTube so far, it's certainly worthy of consideration. I've never really took much notice in the Assasin's Creed titles before now but I will admit that Unity could possibly change that.
Of course with it being me, it all depends on what price I can get it for...!
Still early days though, especially considering I've yet to buy a PS4!
I've never been to any shop at midnight to purchase a game - even with certain series of games that I always play... I've been to certain shops on launch day (no specific time) and even pre-ordered a couple back in my teens but that's about as far as I've ever gone.
Of course with it being me, it all depends on what price I can get it for...!
