Are you Shelving your PS3?

I'm wondering PS4 owners, are you shelving your PS3s or are you playing both. Of course the PS4 doesn't have a lot of games for it yet but as new releases start coming out are you going to put your PS3s away, especially when devs start releasing the games for the PS4 on PSN? Or are you going to keep the PS3 to play your favorites. How long your PS3 going to last?

I'm playing both right now. I moved by PS3 to the bedroom and keeping the ps4 in the living room. Seems better that way. Still have to beat Batman and I've got an older PS3 with the ps2 hardware chip built in. So it still has alot of value since it doesn't emulate the older games either.

I've considered retiring the PS3 to under my bed, but it'll still be out until PS4 actually picks it up with the titles. There's so much I haven't played on PS3 yet and so little I actually want to play on PS4 now.

I'm not shelving my PS3 anytime soon. I got it in mid-life span and I'm enjoying alot of titles I'm getting around to.

Under the bed is Florida for electronics, Tomba.

I can't see my PS3's going anywhere. My ps3 has many uses and even when the games dry up I believe I will still be using it

Well, I am in the boat where I do not have a PS4 so there's that. Once I do get a PS4, my PS3 will go to my kids cause they love watching Netflix and Hulu kids shows.

I'm definitely keeping it around, since I have lots of games that I still enjoy.
One of them is GTAV, I will play it for a long time since me and my friends love the multiplayer, and it's probably not coming out for the PS4, so we'll just keep playing it there.

No, I just got my PS3 about a month ago -can't retire it this early

Besides most of my consoled hang around longer then aging pro wrestlers

I'm keeping mine around a little longer. It's been very dependable and I can't bring myself to put it in the closet or under the bed.

I don't see why anyone would. I still own plenty of my older consoles because there are games that I love on them that aren't on my newer systems. And with there being a bit of a lull between console releases and actual games, I'm pretty sure that plenty of people will still be playing their PS3's over the holiday season, I never understood people getting rid of their old consoles the minute they get a new one.

I've never really understood that either. Their usually that first wave in the new console's run who complain about there being no good games or that there is a gap of time between the titles rolling in during the launch window. Better keep that PS3.

I haven't bought a PS4, but I probably will soon, and when I do, I'd still probably keep my PS3 around. Unless PS4 suddenly offers the whole PS3 library for download, I'll have to go back to it to play the games I might have missed.

Exactly. The PS4 will not offer the PS3 library unless their AAA titles and even then not all of those will be available. There were so many great games for the PS3 that I see myself keeping it around of a while and it'll be a couple of years before I start using it less. Even then I can see myself bringing it out now and then for some fun.
