Audio problems

Hello,
I got a problem with my new PS5

1) I have an external Soundbar connected to the PS5 via USB, it works well. The problem is that whenever I connect a headset to the joypad and then disconnect it, the console change the output to HDMI device (which is the monitor without audio) and so I have to manually switch the output every time.
This didn't happen with the PS4!

Thanks for your help

It's trying to connect via HDMI E-Arc - which is the preferred way to do it, not through USB so it gets confused. One thing you could do... go to the Astro headset website. They have an adaptor go go from HDMI in and out but extracts the audio out via Optical which would be the better way to connect the soundbar assuming you don't have E-Arc from your TV. If your TV does have an optical output, run that into the soundbar after connecting the PS5 straight into the TV with the HDMI.
