Awesomenauts coming to PS4

I have heard of this game, and it has been on my Steam game library for a while now, but I never had the time to try it out. It was confirmed by the game developer studio for Awesomenauts, and the trailer was released not too long ago. No official release date as of yet, so we don't know if it will be a launch title, or if it will be releasing one year from now.

For those who have tried the game, what did you think of it? Did you like it? What kind of genre was it, and is it fairly simple?

I didn't really expect it to be released for PS4 too but that's cool I guess. The game's pretty fun, but I've only played in Training mode. I wanted to unlock all characters before going online and that was definitely a good idea; all the characters are very different and it took me a while to find one I really loved (it ended up being the burly viking brawler, by the way... forget his name).

Looks like Ronimo is bringing Awesomenauts to the PlayStation 4! The developer is saying that as the game approaches 1 million downloads that it only makes sense to bring it to the PS4. For those of you guys and girls that haven't played the game, its like a arcade version of megaman / super smash bros / strider type game play. Not sure that makes sense. At least I've always thought the game was sort of like that. Exciting News!

Very good news. I've picked this up for the PC in one of the recent humble bundles and I love this game, it is very easy to start playing but difficult to master it, there's a whole lot of replayability and I think that it captures the classic moba feel without the awful community behind it. Definitely a game that would work well on consoles.

More people should be talking about Awesomenauts because it is amazing. I love the game and I'd like to see it on the PS4, the style could really benefit from the update it would get from being on a next-gen console and hopefully make the series relevant again. Just push the release at the right time.

Definitely welcome news on my part. It's one of the rare gems that makes DotA-style gameplay less boring and adds fun new gameplay mechanics that don't require weeks of learning.

I wonder how aiming would work though. Standard twinstick circle around your character shooter? Controllers tend to be pretty wonky when it comes to aiming, especially in MOBAs or shooters that require precise aim within short periods of time.

It's such a good game that really doesn't get enough love. It tends to get lost in the shuffle and I've seen a lot of people confuse it with Scribblenuats so it tends to get forgotten about. But I do highly recommend it when it does come out on the PS4. Awesomenauts is such a breath of fresh air, that I tend to play it a lot still.

Hey, it's one more game to the list, that is always a good thing. It will certainly not sell systems, but is a nice experience to take a break from other games or just waiting for new releases after you complete everything else that you own. Also the multiplayer is really fun if you have a co-op partner.

True. Awesomenauts is one of those games that is crazy fun and has its fans but it's not a system seller and never will be. What it will do is help PS4 owners have something to do until the major AAA's come out later next year and that's saying something. Anything that helps relieve the inevitable console slump is a good thing and Awesomenauts is one of those games.

Awesome. Awesomenauts is one of the best games I've ever played. But somehow, calling it a MOBA doesn't seem fair. It has the elements of a MOBA, but it's like calling BioShock a horror game, or Bastion an RPG. It's not totally accurate. Regardless, still nice to see it's living on. Really hoping for some more characters to be released.

Awesomenauts is an amazing game that never really got the attention that it deserved. Really I'm happy to see it making a comeback on the PS4, maybe that'll get it more attention. I'm hoping for the best because I'd love an excuse to really get back into the game. Although it is one of those games that you have to be open minded about or you won't get into it.

I'm bummed that this isn't getting more attention. I love Awesomenauts but it is one of those games that didn't get much love when it first came out and I'm hoping that they choose a great release day so that more PS4 users will play it. Hopefully it's early in 2014 before or sometime after Watch Dogs but definitely during a slump before the heavy Fall/Winter releases.

It's surprising that this game is coming to the PS4. I have it on my Steam library which I got for free from someone. The game is not bad, but not that great either, in my opinion. It has MOBA elements but is not actually a MOBA. I don't know why they call this a MOBA, though. Anyway, it is nice to see games coming onto the PS4 as it currently doesn't have many games. Looking forward for more games on the console.

Meh, I have this on Steam and find it to be average at best.
