Battlefield 1 VS CoD Infinite Warfare

Oberon

, , The Enforcer, ,
Most of us are tired of futuristic themed CoD but I Infinite Warfare is again futuristic.
I do feel a little sorry for Infinity Ward,I mean development would have began right after Ghosts so they've had 3 years, and and that's the way many FPS games were heading,at least CoD games.
Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3,but now it seems the vast majority are tired of and want back to basics and boots on the ground, set more modern or in the past so with 3 years of development its to late to change Infinite Warfare now.
I think many who buy it are opting for the Legacy Ed which comes with CoD 4 Remastered.

Battlefield 1 on the other hand seems to have given what FPS fans wanted,NOT futuristic setting but WW1 era.

At moment of posting these are stats for official trailers on yt:

BF1: 1,234,363 likes and 22,391 dislikes.

CoD Infinite Warfare: 296,328 likes and 1,598,210 dislikes.
This makes the Infinite Warfare trailer the most disliked trailer yt and in the top 5 of all videos of most dislikes.

Hmm,anyone care to share their thoughts?

lets be honest here, both major cod devs knee the consequences of their actions, they deserved that hit to the head with the shovel

Both CoD and Battlefield are very similar, basically the same with different stories. I would rather they go back then forward, the futuristic stuff is just so boring and blah. MW 1 and 2 were great, good SP missions and great Co-Op missions/games as well. From there it all really went down hill in my opinion. Would love if they took historical battles or wars and worked around them. Sure it would not have all the options for guns and add ons, but that is not really what makes it so fun. Could be fun to be running around the Civil War and other places like that.

Not sure what the new Battlefield is all about, just heard about it yesterday. Is it only an online PvP game?

I have every COD released so far with the exception of COD4 MW. So i will be picking COD up for sure. That being said I only buy them so my kids and I can play LAN. Battlefield was my favorite series for years but with the launch problems of BF4 and not being interested in hardline I have got away from the series. BF1 is a breath of fresh air. I can't begin to tell you guys how happy I was to see something interesting for a change. This is a definite pre order for me just for the campaign. I just wish BF had a LAN option.

server browser confimred....unless you mean splitscreen, in that case bummer

No, Not split screen. Local Area Network. No need to be online, just running of my network. As far as BF servers? I doubt they will be free. I have rented servers in the past but to me it wasn't worth what it cost. Regardless I will end up with the game
