Battlefield 4

Thank the lord! Even though I am likely to be getting a new PC anyway this year, I really didn't like the fact that only PC servers could hold up to 64 player matches. Although, if you've ever played a Battlefield 3 match on PC, you will know that for the most part, it's sometimes better with less players anyway. Despite the massive maps and vehicles too!

Honestly, I've never played the Battlefield series although I've desperately wanted to try, and I have to say that it looked quite promising. I'm not sure if this is an already existing feature, but I loved the attachment for guns to be able to have both a scope and an iron sight. That's one of my biggest pet peeves in a FPS as I always have to switch between different guns for different ranges. Aside from that, the storyline didn't seem to be anything notably more impressive, but the physics, especially for large objects, seemed to be much better!

Wow you took the words right out of my mouth. I've never owned a BF game but they always look very enticing. BF4 appears to be a true military shooter, and although it's not completely realistic it is a change of pace from games like COD. I'm looking forward to finally picking up a BF game. The E3 demo and campaign trailer blew my mind and the graphics didn't hurt either. I hope they release some more new information or have an event like COD: Ghost.

I have never tried any of the Battlefield games, but I have thought about picking up BF3 because of the graphics. I'm probably going to give BF4 a try for the PS4 most likely because I want to play, and see how good it is. From the reviews I've heard, and the people I've listened to, I have yet to hear one negative review from anyone about BF3.

You haven't picked up BF 3 yet? There couldn't be a better time for picking it up. Go buy it now! I am still playing it on my PC on daily basis. The beauty and gameplay is ineffable - something you don't get to experience with COD series.

I love the battlefield series and love the format for it. Unfortunately, I also love the Call of Duty series and there is just no time in my life to play both. I have to choose one or the other and I usually choose Call of Duty. I will certainly give Battlefield the chance to win me over but for the last couple years it's been all Call of Duty. Does anyone else feel the same as I?

I like both too and will get Ghosts and BF4 on PS4 but honestly I havent given BF games MP a big chance,I do like it but Im so used to the MP in CoD its hard to get used to BF.
I prefer the SP campaigns in BF but the MP in CoD.
Ill try and invest more time in the MP aspect of BF this time round......maybe..:o

I am so ridiculously excited for BF4, the CoD's are always fun for a little while, but BF4 will always have a special place in my heart.

I have been wondering if anyone knows if the control scheme on the PS4 will be much different to the PS3. Mostly in regards to spotting and the PS4 controller being down a button on the PS3.

I know it's been confirmed that the Xbox One version will run on 60 FPS, but hope PS4 will also run on 60 FPS. I can't see why not considering the PS4 is the more powerful of the two.
Ive been watching some youtube vids of a guy thats played it on PC and PS4 and he said for sure PS4 version looks better than PS3 or 360 version would but PC is still better in graphics.
But he did also say the as well as 64 players on PS4 it runs at 60fps and 720P.So thats still HD.If they would support native 1080P then most likely it would be 30fps and when it comes to games like this we know 60fps is easily better than 30.
So yeah,Id rather 720P and 60fps.
Still who knows, they may still pull off a miracle and give us 1080P at 60fps,but not from what I know so far.
