Best Bluetooth Headsets on PSN

PlugIn

What is the best type of headset to use to talk to people when playing on PSN? I have been considering getting a Bluetooth to talk on PSN and with my cell phone. Do all Bluetooth headsets work with the PS3 or only certain ones?

I bought the official Sony Bluetooth Headset, and it has been great. I tried some cheap headsets, but the quality was awful. I am not sure if all Bluetooth headsets work with PSN.

I have the PS3 Bluetooth Ear Force PBT made by Turtle Beach. So far, I have had no problems with this headset. The battery lasts a long time, plus I love the fact that I can switch betweeen my cell phone and game! There is no mute button, though, but that is the only bad thing about this communicator.

I use the Sony bluetooth headset, like Lady Katamari. I have had no issues with it at all. It works great, and does exactly what I need it to do.

Call me crazy, but I actually don't use a headset very often. When I do use one, I just borrow it off of my neighbor. And, honestly, I couldn't even tell you what kind it is or anything!

I am using a wired headset and have never tried any other ones.
It is the Gamecom 377. You can hide the mic if you are not in any conversations with teammates.
The sound is great, I can hear anyone clearly and I had no problems with the mic, my teammates can hear me loud and clear.

Your neighbour lets you borrow there headsets?, my neighbour would never let me borrow something that costs more than 5 bucks lol

Ive got a few bluetooth headsets that are for chat only and use speakers for game sound but usually I use a wired gaming headset.
I use a Sharkoon X-Tatic True 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound headset.
Much better than a stereo headset or surround speakers.

Up to a year ago, I would have told anyone that asked me this question to go with the Turtle Beach brand of gaming headsets. But now, since I've been using my Bose headset for gaming I'd tell people to go with Bose instead. They cost about the same amount as Turtle Beach's brand. But to me, the quality of sound comes out better. And that says a lot because Turtle Beach is already high quality

If you're serious about chatting/gaming just get Trittons. They are absolutely amazing, and by far the best headsets I have used. They may be a little pricey, but I believe that they are well worth the price. If most, if not all professional gamers use them, why not you?

I can't use a Bluetooth headset, I have to have a big headset. I just can't hear well when I use my Bluetooth headset. I also think bigger headsets are more durable, because you are less likely to lose them.

In bigger headsets you are talking about gaming headsets right? Either stereo or surround sound and voice chat from both earcups correct?
Yes,same. While I use a bluetooth chat headset (earpiece) from time to time and TV or stereo speakers usually I use my Sharkoon X-Tatic Digital True 5.1 surround headset.
Much better than a stereo headset too.

I use a blue tooth. I generally use my blue ant, sometimes however I use my jaw bone. I'm pretty sure most every blue tooth works with the PS3. There are a few here and there that do not, but personally I find it a better idea to use my blue tooth just because I hate cords. I do have two blue tooths though so between my PS3 and my cell phone there is always at least one charged. I'd be awfully angry if I killed the power on one device and couldn't then use it on the other.
