Best game graphics-wise?

I would agree with those who said The Last of Us has the most amazing graphics. Other titles that come to mind include GTA V, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Battlefield 3.

I honestly believe sports games have the best graphics. I mean how can you compete with a sports game, considering they have to make a character faces look realistic. I think in all honesty NBA 2K13 has the best game graphics.

Since graphics are an individualistic property of any particular game (of which there are many), should we not first define what we mean by "best graphics"? I can understand why we would consider a game with the "most realistic" graphics to be the "best", but is it not all completely relative? There are certainly games that look unarguably bad and there are those that look unarguably good based solely on the common understanding and usage of the two descriptors. Yet to me a game's graphics must also enhance the narrative, etc.. In many ways a game's graphics are dependent on the story being told. In this sense one would have to consider the "best graphics" of a game to both look good and be used in a way that is good for the particular story being told and the type of game being played. Of course this all conjecture and not really thought out as well as it could be... oh well.

Anyway, I do not have an answer to what looks the best, only what looks "good", "great", and so on.

In the date is was released I gotta say I would pick Heavy Rain, the first I saw some screenshots of ingame footage I was just astonished how good they were. In terms of recent releases I've gotta pick TLoU for their overall design, pretty everyone who played the game still remember the time when they saw the giraffes for the first time. Everything in the part as amazing.

I think the game with the best graphics is God of War III. God of War III is a tour-de-force in terms of its visuals, and it's even more brutal than any of its predecessors. Yes, this is a very M-rated game, one filled with blood, gore and detached limbs, but what's important is that it all makes sense. God of War III surpasses the first two God of War games in almost all possible ways; it has higher production values, high-definition graphics with an outstanding attention to detail, more expansive environments, more characters and enemies than ever, and a deep plot. God of War III’s new weapons and powers are better – better-implemented, more useful and much more fun to use than those in previous games. It has the most impressive visuals this console generation has seen. The animation and camera angles make the cut-scenes better than you see in most movies ... the visuals almost make it worth playing on their own.

Does anybody else think God of War III has the best graphics?

Uncharted 3 and The Last Of us are unbeatable in this area here.
We are talking about the studio Naughty Dog. It's not anyone.

Go Of War 3 was better than GOW Ascension to me.
Battlefield 3 was also particularly nice.

I have a presentiment that The order in 1886 will explode everything that has been done on console on a technical level.

I love the different visual styles like what was done in Asura Warth.

I will have to agree with most of the people here that The Last of Us is the best game graphic wise. I love this game and I thought the graphics were amazing. Another good game graphic wise is Tomb Raider. This game looked almost too real to me and the action scenes were really good.

I personally find GTA V to have the best graphics. How it manages to render all the beautiful CGI with a 512 MB RAM is beyond me... Imagine the result if it would've been made for PS4!

GTA 5 is nice, and its massive, but i dont think id call it the best graphical game period. And i dont think rockstar would attempt to either. Theyve got sheer size going for them though, and thats a feat in and of itself

The fact that you all seem to have forgotten the word Crysis while putting out stuff like Last of Us and Battlefield is kind of insulting. I'll just leave these here for you peasants.

The Last of Us, no contest. There aren't any other games anywhere near The Last of Us in terms of graphics. I was stunned when I first set my eyes on its graphics, quite amazing. Just my two cents.

Last of Us or Tomb Raider. The cutscenes in that game took my breath away when I first played it.

I would agree with the majority and say that The Last of Us is the current best looking game on the PS3 and will most likely always be but I would say I'll forever be the most impressed by Killzone 2 considering how long ago it was made and how it still looks stunning.

I know people will disagree, but I can;t think of any game that looks better than Wind Waker HD at the moment. That game held up visually without an HD upgrade. The HD upgrade just really takes it to the next level.

I was really impressed by Just Cause 2, but then it is a little dated by now. The view distance was incredible. I can't believe how big the map was, and if that's what the current-gen offers I wonder what it would be like on the PS4 or Xbox One. I also really like the look of the ******in's Creed games, when you're up on a tower or something overlooking the city....just breathtaking. Games have come a long way and I can't wait to see the next gen difference.

This is a difficult question mate. I would say that The Last of Us has the best graphics in my opinion, but I played only a few games on PS3. On the PC GTA IV with the Icedhancer mode had one of the most stunning and realistic graphics that I saw in a video game.

GOW 3 does have some really cool graphics. Not to sure about Last of Us as the best graphics of all time. I mean they are really good but I personally liked the ones in Bioshock Infinite even more.

Good call with Crysis. That thing looks absolutely pretty.
