I don't know about you guys but I am extremely excited for this one!
Gearbox Software have announced Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! Coming to only Xbox 360, PS3 and PC (sorry guys, no next gen for this title), this title is set within the 5 year gap between Borderlands and Borderlands 2 and will introduce four new characters - Athena, Wilhelm, Nisha and Claptrap. Yep, I said Claptrap. He will be a playable character/class. How awesome, right? Even more, the game will take players to the moon, there will be jetpacks, laser guns, ice guns, and much much more. And don't expect this to me a "extension" of the previous title - this is a full fledged new chapter in the series.
The game will be out later in 2014.
As for why it is not coming to next-gen consoles: "“If you imagine where that demand lives, it lives on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. We don’t know to what extent demand will live on next-gen. I imagine over time, maybe by the time we get to third or fourth Christmas there’ll be a big enough install base on next-gen consoles" - Randy Pitchford
So what do you think guys?
EDIT: And now we get the first trailer/footage for it
