Bully

I know. It didn't get nearly the kind of attention that a lot of Rockstar Games did. A lot of people hated it. For me though? I played the crap out of it. Hours and hours as Jimmy Hopkins who was just a glorious little bastard of a protagonist. I mean, it was the first game I can remember other than maybe Duke Nukem that had a hero that I really couldn't stand but in a good way. So other than me, does anyone still love Bully?

I recently bought this game it is sitting on my shelf waiting to be played. I love Rockstar game but when this game first came out it went totally under the radar for me. I am looking forward to giving this one a try sometime in the near future. Did this game get a sequel?

Bully never got a sequel, but it did get a "Scholarship Edition" which I don't remember what it all included with it. I myself was a fan of Bully, and I actually own it on my PC, using a PS3 controller to play it on. While a lot of things could have been fixed or done differently, it was still an awesome game. The easiest way to categorize it is really by just calling it "Grand Theft Auto: For Kids!" since there's violence, theft, quests, and exploration, but it's all within limits of what you'd find from a normal teenage boy who's going through his rebellious faze.

I never got around to playing this game, however it seems like a really cool game because I like the theme set here, it's quite original. There is generally a certain look and feel about a Rockstar game that wins me over, I can't recall any Rockstar game I would class as poor. There seems to be quite a lot you can do in Bully, and so overall it looks like a great game.

I played the PC version two times up to 100% completion. I seriously don't know why the hell Rockstar didn't continued the series, seeing the amount of potential it could have with an engine like GTA4.

Come on, Rockstar, where is Bully 2?

Uh, Bully was actually loved by a lot of gamers! It was a nice deviation from the usual Rockstar games. I also played bully a lot. Its setting was what made me play the game over and over. I liked the school setup and the way that the protagonist progressed. I do hope that there is a sequel. Maybe they can make a game where he is now in college or something. Lol.

I never really got why they didn't continue it. It was a great game and had tons of potential. I think that Rockstar had another "Franchise Player" with this one. Though, they probably don't want any competing with GTA.

I never got around to playing this on the PS2, my brother is/was obsessed with this game but I just never got around to it.

I do have it on the Xbox 360, but yep - still yet to play it.

I've heard of this game, but it wasn't really my style. I never played this game as it felt like it's rated PG-13 for a Rockstar game, given that the company releases Mature games. I still preferred the GTA series in terms of gameplay, swearing, and storyline, not to mention the voices of famous actors.

I remember there being quite a bit of controversy when the game first came out, claiming that the subject matter would glorify bullies and encourage that kind of behaviour in the kids who would play the game. That might have had something to do with there never being a sequel. I would have loved to see a sequel though; it was such a unique idea for a game, and I thought it was executed really well.

I actually just started to play this again on Wednesday. It's my third playthrough, and my first in a few years. I'm enjoying it just as much now as I did the first time I played it! My little sister's just starting to get into it, too (well, 'little', she's actually 18)... she's never been a gamer and has made fun of me for playing so much in the past. She's really enjoying Bully, though; I'm hoping it'll get her into other games later on :)

I kind of heard this rationale too. But when you would look at the games like GTA, this issue would look kind of silly. Doesn't GTA focus on gangs and street crimes? Doesn't it seem to glorify gangsters and fraternities and petty crimes on the street? Then why did it even get a lot of sequels?

I've had a lot of play throughs with Bully as well. It's a lot of fun and there are so many things to do and so many kids to bully. Oops.

I was late to this game but I eventually got the chance to play it. I admit I didn't know what to expect since I heard it was Grand Theft Auto for kids. When I finally played it though I really enjoyed it though. I liked that the game felt like a real school experience, with classes and everything. I always wished for a sequel to be made. Hopefully in the future there will be one. Wouldn't mind seeing a Bully sequel on PS4 graphics.

This game was so good and I remember that it got tons of flack because of its name. People would say that its not cool that you're being a bully without understanding that the game was about a tough guy taking on the tough guys. An open environment around a school, going to class to play minigames, the Halloween event and finding that drunk homeless guy behind the school. That game was just so good. I'm glad someone brought it up.

I actually have this game somewhere on my computer. I think it's one of those Games for Windows that people aren't too fond of. I don't mind, so much, since the game was really cheap when I bought it. I didn't play much of it and I have no idea why I didn't keep playing, because I did like it, but if I can find it I may have another crack at it.

The thing I did notice about that game is that the overall objectives at times are a little hazy while your own ability to deal with the guys in the levels are also nerfed. Basically GTA was taken and wiped down to a much more tame game with a better message. The problem is that the opponents in the game still have major advantages over you, while you have a sling shot. Now, over time you can do all the side quests that upgrade your fighting and get better weapons, but that is over time. The biggest problem I had with that game is that the beginning game is so unbalanced versus the end of the game. I mean, that's I guess more common then not when it comes to open world games, but I just remember that it had a draw for me to stop playing. I didn't get further until my 2nd and eventually beat on my 3rd playthrough.

I played the PC Scholarship Edition and I actually enjoyed it. I made a mistake cheating on the game, I increased my money to buy outfits, in result I finished the game too fast. I am hoping they would release a sequel. Perhaps a new character in a much bigger school. They also need more sidequests and features because I believe that's what's lacking from the game.
