Buying a Vita on Ebay - Yes or no?

AM to PM

New Member
I have been considering getting a Play Station Vita, but am not completely sold on it yet. I have been thinking about getting it one off of Ebay. Usually you can find much lower prices than in retail stores. Anyone have any experience with getting electronics off of Ebay?

I just checked on eBay, and I don't see why it would be a bad idea. I love eBay. I have gotten a lot of my electronics off of eBay, including other random items. Most recently, I bought an iPod touch. It was brand new and in perfect working order.

Really? So you have had good luck with eBay and electronics? I may have to just give it a shot. What do I have to lose? Nothing, really. I suppose! Now, I just need to find exactly what I want & for a decent price!

I have had great luck on EBay! I don't normally buy expensive stuff on there, but I have bought portable hard drives and flash drives and more on there!

I have bought and sold many items through ebay some very good experiences and some pretty bad.
Electronics wise its fine just check out the seller the best you can I would also suggest you buy from someone who posts real pictures of the item and not stock photos oh and read the description properly,
I got stung once when buying an ipod the seller put in the description in the smallest font possible that the winner of the auction would win a link to try and win an ipod
but it was hidden in a great wall of text.

There are plenty of good seller out there on ebay. I sell there myself all the time you just have to make sure and check the seller out before you buy any expensive item from them. I agree with Venomeye never buy from someone who uses stock photo you want to see what you are getting save you a lot of headache latter on the line. Just be careful make sure you know what you are getting and when in doubt ask questions.

Either that or craigslist, but always make sure that the seller has great ratings. Then pick around 5 deals and compare them to something that has what you are looking for in your purchase.

eBay is a great place to buy electronics. It pays to watch something that is on auction though, as like with everything you can get some real good bargains if you wait around for a while instead of buying right away. I got a 160GB iPod for £60 which I think is a definite bargain, so it pays to look around for the best deal. It's important to check the seller's feedback score though, and also read the description thoroughly. I have been seeing quite a few cunning false adverts on eBay that make you think you are getting a bargain, but if you read the description they have cleverly obstructed from the fact they are only selling an accessory!
