Buying PS4 in North America and playing it in Asia region

Hello, Im newbie here
I just bought a PS4 in United States and Im planning to bringing back to my country (Indonesia).
I would like to update my system once I get to Indonesia but Im scared I wont be able to play my console.
Can I stay still play my ps after I update it in Asia region?

Short answer: Yes,its not like any FW updates are country specific,AFAIK.

I believe the PS4 is region free like the PS3 but I don't know for sure.
