Call of Duty: 2014 is new Modern Warfare, claims Ghosts leaker – video

Call of Duty: 2014 will be another entry to the Modern Warfare series, according to YouTube personality Drift0r, who is the same person who accurately leaked a wealth of Call of Duty: Ghosts details ahead of its initial reveal.

It follows these Sledgehammer Games job adverts that mention dynamic weather systems, destruction and more. In the clip above, Drift0r explains that he was approached by an insider at Sledgehammer. He claims he was sent a collection of files and game assets, including a new map he described as “some sort of power plant.” The locale was full of turbines, a heli-pad and multiple storeys.

He added that the files sent to him are unique and not ripped from anything else. He says it’s a new entry to the Modern Warfare title, but not necessarily Modern Warfare 4. It’s not set in the past, or based on any recent war. In fact, he felt – from looking at the assets – that it’s set in the near future, including a hi-tech weapon that he likened to Titanfall’s art style.

Oh what a shame, another MW game. I was expecting something different, not something that will just be another carbon copy of past MW games.

I subscribe to Drift0r.has makes great vids btw and watched this last night.
And its not the only vid mentioning MW4 either.

Since Sledgehammer worked on MW3 with InfinityWard perhaps its not a bad thing,I mean I was really looking forward to Ghosts but am not as interested in playing it as previous CoD games now.
So perhaps MW4 is not a bad idea after all,perhaps it will be slightly more 'back to basics' without being to samey or fancy and try to add to much,dunno.
If you watch the vid it also mentions the visuals and how good they will look.As they should be anyway.

I dunno,I wouldnt write off a MW4 game just yet,as usual lets see how it pans out.
And I wouldnt say all MW games are broken,perhaps its cause IW made them before,but with Sledgehammer going solo on this one,maybe it will be better from the get go?
And lets not forget its CoD,these games always have issues when released and slowwwwly get patched as times goes on.

I've never used any of the higher killstreaks... ever. I just don't have time to get that good at the game and as a result it's just not fun getting airstriked every second. COD4 was the last one I enjoyed.

I've played COD multiplayer since Call of duty 3/4. (which I only played a small bit of MP of those two) & I've always enjoyed them...Most of the time, but I'll admit, bar the gun skins & killstreaks, they haven't changed since then. They've just gotten more broken, glitchy & laggy. I didn't even bother with Ghosts.
Unless this new one changes completely, I won't be bothering with it either.

Ive loved CoD over the years but I think with Ghosts,you are'nt missing much.
So now Im focusing on BF4,havent been a huge BF MP gamer of the years though Ive had them all but this time I will be focusing on that game.

Unless this new one changes completely, I won't be bothering with it either.

I am very curious to see how the next turns out.Time will tell.

I won't be interested in another COD game until it comes out and proves to be something fresh. I wasn't going to buy Ghosts, but my friends talked me into it (for the 360). I thought that I would at least play it a little bit, but I put about 2 or 3 hours into MP and now it just collects dust. I cringe when I see the brand new case sitting there knowing that I paid $60.

I have a friend that paid for the Hardened edition (I think he paid around £90/$150 at the time) & played it for 3 days & hasn't touched it since. He wasn't happy with himself. hahaha
