Call of Duty Ghosts Code of Conduct polices derogatory, racially charged language

Oberon

, , The Enforcer, ,
You better watch your language when using a mic and playing online.
As there are consequences for certain langauge used.
Not only that, but also for hackers and boosters etc etc.

Infinity Ward will make a concerted effort to curb "offensive behavior." It says that any user who is found to use aggressive, offensive, derogatory, or racially charged language is subject to penalty.

Any user who is caught with pirated copy of the game will be permanently banned immediately, as will any user who is caught modding or hacking the game for a competitive advantage.

"Boosting," meaning users who collude to exploit the game in order to gain XP and other rewards, can be temporarily banned or have their stats reset, as do users who exploit bugs in the game code.

Same old from Activison. It won't stop the swearing.

Look at what happened with the offensive emblems in Blops. Sure they have banned a few but you load the game up now and I'll bet you one of the first emblems you see will be classed as 'offensive'

Yeah,I doubt that.
But as for boosters I do know of people that have had their stats resest and been banned. But how many does this happen to compared to the ones they miss.
Well,at least they are doing something, and thats better than doing nothing at all.
So all well and good, but I think they should also concentrate a bit more on fixing the actual game. (Though I havent played for over 2 week now)

Where's the freedom of speech lol. It's their right if players want to b***** and swear when they are upset. If others can't stand it, there's always the "mute" option. I do agree on "boosting" though, some of them make the online difficult for others, Activision should clean them up from time to time.

Personally I have no issue if swearing in general, but not AT someone in an abusive manner, there's no need for that.

Where do you draw the line on swearing because you're upset? Say if someone shot you whilst you're half way through racking up points for a kill-streak then saying 'F*** Off' would be fine. But when you have a bunch of 12-13 year olds saying what they're going to do to you/your mother/sister/dog just because you killed and upset them? Why should I mute them because they're being immature?

Exactly, even with the implementation of capturing game-play from Blops2, where you could record and upload boosters, only a small percentage actually had their stats reset or received a ban.

I know I've uploaded a couple of booster videos and even put them on a reporting sub-reddit on Reddit (apparently one of the mods on that sub-reddit worked for Treyarch/Activision and was responsible for banning people), nothing happened to these players.

We had some boosters in infected the other day. Sounds crazy right? Nope. One guy was killing himself, and then blocking a doorway so his buddy could camp at the top of ladders/buildings, and pick people off. I reported both of them, but don't expect anything to happen.

We left after the second game when we realized what they were doing but I ended up killing the guy in both games, so that felt good.
