Can I use two HDDs?

Hi,

As we all know, eventual HDD change is inevitable. I'm going to get a 2 TB HDD for my PS4, but I'd like to keep my downloaded games on it. My connection speed isn't too high and downloading anything above 20 GBs is a pain - so I wouldn't want to download 300 gigs od already owned games...

Is it possible to have two HDDs and just swap them when I want to play games installed on the other drive? Will games work flawlessly on both drives?

That sounds like more effort then it's worth.
My advice to anyone planning to upgrade the HDD is do it sooner then later. Before they run into the delema that you are facing.
IMO in your shoes. Leave your PS4 on overnight a few times and re download all your games. Seems like less headache then swapping hard drives once or twice a week.

I upgraded my HDD to 2TB first day owning my PS4 cause I knew if I didn't I would run into this.

You could even do the PS3 HDD if you didn't already know.

I replaced mine day one too with a 1TB 7200rpm one. I know some are using the SSD ones for even faster load times.

Even a hard copy can have a sizable install.
I buy hard copies rather then digitally when I can. Here's a couple examples.

Tomb raider 16.5gb
Diablo 3 26gb
Call of duty ghosts 49gb
Plants vs zombies 15gb

I believe the last of us was 50-60gb also. Buyin. Hard copies will no save you hard disk space.
Why does the game install even with a disk you ask? Well. That's so you don't have to sit through ridiculous load times when playing.

Upgrade isn't a must.... It's working isn't it.....
I uninstall games when I'm done with them, No sense in leaving them on there.
500gb is not enough hdd space for either of the next (current) gen consoles I you ask me.... Don't know what they were thinking, they should have come with 1TB minimum.....

True.But it's still easier and MUCH quicker to reinstall off the disc again if you need to than redownload 50GB again.
So again,NO WAY do I buy digital copies IF I have a choice.
Digital copies have no advantage over a hard copy what so ever. And please dont say "but you can get digital day one" ..that's still no real advantage at all.
