I would have loved to have fallen in love with the Vita when it first came out, as I was always a big PSP fan and couldn't wait to play higher quality games on a handheld, but once I saw it, all I felt was disappointment.
First off, I was never terribly fond of the name Vita. Second, I was expecting a more "advanced" design since I've been seeing a lot of promise in the way they designed the PSP Go and the Xperia Play. Granted, these probably are a lot harder to play on than the Vita, but they did look good, and I was just expecting something more in between rather than a step back. Lastly, the software interface was so unappealing, and looked more like a V-tech toy from the 90s. I mean, look at this:
I let my problem with the name slide, but the rest of my issues with it are preventing me from wanting to own one. I do respect the developers of it for trying their best, but I'm assuming they got paid significantly enough that, I guess, I was just expecting more. I'm hoping they will soon come out with a Vita 2 and hopefully that will look a lot better.
