Cheap Games at Blockbuster?

I know that the last of the few Blockbuster stores are closing down. Has anyone scored any good deals on cheap games at Blockbuster? I used to work at Hollywood Video and we had some pretty nice and unscratched games.

My girlfriend and I drove past a Blockbuster store a few months ago and gasped in shock as we realized that they still existed. We thought that Blockbuster was extinct. It's probably cheaper to just buy second hand.

I wasn't even aware that you could buy the games from Blockbuster, especially since they are a rental retailer. However, if you CAN buy their games for super cheap, I might just get a few bucks and head to a blockbuster, as soon as I find one. Scratched or not, if I can get some good games for like $10 or so that'd be neat.

I always head to my local Blockbuster just to see if there are any steals or cheap stuff I can get my hands on. I never did before but my friends have so I wanna test my luck again this year!

The deals when a Blockbuster closes are pretty good. One closed up by me but because of my work schedule, I didn't get in early enough and all the good games were picked up. I managed to take 20 bucks and get a few movies for a couple to a few bucks a piece.

A few years ago, Blockbuster tried to make money by selling games and movies. I guess it didn't work

Everyone pops up when a Blockbuster closes up. It's the state fair for cheap DVDs and games. I managed to get some anime VHS' when one closed around here a year ago. I've been waiting to see if there are any other closings nearby.

I've never been to a Blockbuster sale! I always hear about them at the last moment.

I managed to do three Blockbuster sales and really stocked up on DVDs. The games will always be gone though.

I have not seen a Blockbusters in years! I've been to some clearance sales in general and I actually bought a game that had no disc inside. The case was just empty, I swear! This was like some basketball game and they said there was no way that they could be sure that I wasn't hustling them basically lol.

I went in there the other day and picked up about 5 games for $30, it was glorious. XD Also managed to find a copy of Trauma Centre: New Blood there for $5 before, which I bought because it was so usual and cheap even though I already owned it.

Seriously my favourite thing about blockbuster is the ex-rentals. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person that goes to my store and buys them because I never see anybody else in there. XD

That was a good haul! I've never gotten a cheap games from a Blockbuster closing, but I have gotten a lot of SNES/Genesis games from one of the non-franchise video stores that closed down.

I went in but it looked like everyone had gotten there before me. I was kinda disappointed, mind you the store we had was pretty small.
