Classic PlayStation 1 game for the PS4?

If you were the head of Sony what game would you Re-release on the PS4? I would release a game like Spyro or metal gear because they're just great.

I think the remake I would most like to see made from the PS1 is Syphon FIlter the 3rd person action shooter from Sony developer 989 sports. I always really liked the intuitive targeting controls and although not realistic or gritty like Metal Gear Solid it did offer a worth alternative to that type of game at the time. With the PS4 hardware I can only imagine what a new Syphon Filter would look and play like. Sony did re-release the original game for the PSP on the Playstation network in 2006 which was cool.

Syphon Filter. So much nostalgia. I don't think this game gets enough credit. It was revolutionary.

Maybe it is not a "classic" game in that it is remarkably well known, but MediEvil.

I would re-release a Spyro spinoff as well. I am going to be completely honest though, I would probably not have as much fun playing as I use too. I mean when I first started playing Spyro I was about a teenager. Playing now might now be as great as it was back then.

Its hard for me to answer this question as the head of Sony because the love I have for gaming makes me want an experience that people might not have found as main stream. If its strictly for revenue, we all know that Sony would push for a Final Fantasy 7 or 9 title. I think that those would drive revenue the most, but the biggest drive in revenue would be a Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross reboot.

With that said, I'd want the original Parasite Eve in brilliant Sony 4 graphics. Aya, she'd be smokin on that screen and there's so much awesome stuff to kill with your parasite powers.

This is a very marketable idea. I would love to either see a Crash Bandicoot game - either the traditional one or a new Crash Bandicoot Racing game. Or Destruction Derby. The public is starving for a new Destruction Derby game. The first one was so much fun and the series just disappeared as did Crash Bandicoot. I can't believe that we didn't get newer versions of these games in the recent years.

If I were in charge, I'd re-release them all and even resize them into HD to try and make tons of profit from digital downloads. If I had to pick one, though, I'd choose Castlevania, just because it's one of my favorite games in PS1 and I think it holds a lot of replay value and still holds its own very well against modern games.

I'm gonna limit myself to franchises that Sony actually owns...

I would love to see Syphon Filter, Legend of Dragoon and Ape Escape franchises to have a new game on PS4!

So many options, so hard to choose one. I really miss Forsaken, it was such a great game. I would love a wipEouT game too but there will be one for PSVita, which is great! And ofcourse, Final Fantasy VII remake, please!
