CoD Advanced Warfare First Impressions?

I still havent played much MP at all but Ive done the first few levels of the campaign.
Plays good, ooks good and some cool action set piece stuff but some of the cutscenes looks really impressive, however that has always been the case with games anyway.

It's a shame so many people prefer multiplayer over the campaign/single player. Sadly, it's a sign of the times where I accept I'm now behind, but where people like myself who don't have an abundance of friends find themselves increasingly forgotten in the gaming world.

Hello Haymansafc, why do you say that?

I understand you feeling because I am 46 years old (today, because yesterday I was 45.... damn!!) and my friends list counts the huge amount of 5 friends.
They are five good friends though and everytime I meet one of them (or more) in a multiplayer session is always a party and we have a lot of fun.

Except for one, who's my nephew, I met the others online, just in one of those sessions where we feel abandoned and forgotten. To enjoy multiplayer gaming at its best you have to share it with people like you, like minded, more or less with your same "style and speed" of playing. So, the best way to meet new fellows is to jump into multiplayer sessions and play. Sooner or later you will find your buds, no doubts. Another good method, let's say quicker, is a place like this Forum, where you can meet friends before playing with them.

And do not forget that such kind of games offer the possibility to open private sessions, so you will be playing only with those you want. I don't mean that the story mode is less amusing, but the future of videogaming will be more and more "social" oriented. In my opinion you're not behind at all. It's only a matter of trying. Believe me, the first time you will join a good mp session, you will end up thinking: "Oh boy, where have I been untill now?". :)

I agree. I'm 30, and did not have very many real life friends that are into playing video games anymore. Over the past year or so, I have made friends from playing online, and its been fun. I actually just joined a clan that is all 30+ and we basically drink, BS, and play COD. Its a good time.

Does anyone play gamebattles on this? Me and my mate are guna start playing doubles on it, not sure if it's still popular though, be nice to play Classic hardcore search and destroy though as you can't play that in matchmaking.

I like the gameplay on AW the fast pace and small to medium maps. I also agree the connection on the game seems to be a bit better. I've only hit lag a few times and it straightened out quickly! Still on fence about the exosuits

Agreed. I also would love to see COD go back to it's WWII roots. That's a dream I have. Or for anybody really to make a good WWII video game again. "Enemy Front" doesn't count as I heard it's pretty rubbish which is a pity.

I would also like to see a WWII version, remember knowing in which direction the enemy was because of the noise of their guns and them being easy to spot because of their uniform, i think it would be popular.

I am loving the new game, the jumping has all but finished the snipers off which for me is a big plus and its breathed new life into what was becoming just another set of maps and a bit better graphics, i am even enjoying the single player something i rarely bother with in shooters.

Is this a quality game, or is it just another piece of COD trash? Not liking the franchise so far is my opinion.
