Cole Macgrath is staying dead

I can't say that I personally care whether he came back for another game, while I heard the second Infamous was good I just never got around to playing it. Also the first one was pretty good but there were parts that could have been much better, so I guess we'll just have to wait for a new super hero to fill his place.

Cole had an awesome run and I really wish he was in there somewhere. I mean, superpowers and all, maybe his electric force will play a role. Like a ghost but with electricity, well that sounds stupid but hey, I kind of wish he were alive still.

I feel you're pain. It hard to let go of a character but I don't see them reviving him anytime soon. But you never know, there's a lot of should be dead characters out there that where revived for various reasons. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Since it's a superhero/supervillian game he could come back eventually. Or there could be an alternate universe to Infamous. Comics tend to exist in multiverses.

Personally I wouldn't mind if they gave you the option at start to start out along the evil path and play the story from that perspective and either gradually continue along that path or turn as the story goes on. Along the evil path Cole could face the good path's intended protagonist as well as former cohorts. The good path would introduce a new protagonist.

There's also Zeke as a drifter. Perhaps Cole inspired him to help where he could in the years that followed. There's always a superpowered threat in the world of varying origins.

The series could tell of another hero/heroine dealing with another city's problems at the same time of Infamous and Infamous 2. However it wouldn't be a sequel exactly. There are plenty of possibilities with Infamous. If you have one that sounds silly remember: it's a superhero series in spirit.

It's really an interesting idea. Having two seperate stories and finding a way to somehow connect them to a new protagonist would breathe new life into the series and help people get connected to the new character. I'd like to see them focus on the evil storyline and have the new protagonist be someone that we already know that's focused on putting Cole down and bringing him peace.

I haven't finished the games but I do know this - it was addicting, the first one, is the second one just as good? Or better? Infamous: Second Son looks to be an addicting game like Skyrim. I gotta play infamous 2.

The first Infamous was so fun. It's one of those games that doesn't slow down, you know? There are no parts of the story or gameplay where everything just slows down or try to establish a pace or something.

I would like that. It would also open things up for a sequel after Cole is brought peace in the Protagonist's path. Like Tiger said, there's always trouble.

That's a shame, Cole really did make Infamous. I hope they put some effort in a new protagonist. Create a protagonist would be great as well and you'd just have to hold your Infamous Second Son save for the next game. Character creation is kind of a big thing for games now and days.

Character creation is something I could get behind. The idea to hold your protagonist/antagonist's progress from the previous game is cool as well.

That would be amazing but I don't see them doing it. Or maybe they would go the Mass effect route with being able to choose either a male of female character and not much else changes kind of like Saints Row. I would love something like that happening but that depends on there even being another Infamous anyway.

I'm going to be as ambiguous as possible so as to avoid spoilers, but didn't they KINDA set up Cole's possible resurrection at the end of Infamous 2? It's been so long since I've played either Infamous game, that I couldn't remember if that came at the end of 1 or 2. I hope Cole plays into it somehow! I loved him as a protagonist!

Cole is badass and he's seriously a game character I could play for 5 games straight and never get bored. Sort of like Metal Gear where you play as solid snake for numerous titles and you never really say "Why am I playing this guy again ugh" oh and Nathan Drake is another character I could easily play 20 sequels with.

They kinda did, you're right.

I would really dig that. Character creation and the ability to save progress and carry it over that Crash suggested are ideas I could really get behind.

Cole was very overpowered, no way in hell he's staying dead... no freaking way man. That guy endured everything you can possibly endure, why kill him off in the second game when everyone loves the guy?

I only played the second game when I got a PS+ subscription and it came out as a free game.

It never bothered me that he's dead and staying dead.
