Do you think it is worth paying extra money for a customized console? Personally, i think when it comes to something like headphones, where people will see them outside, it's cool to have something unique that stands out. However with consoles, which no one else knows about because it's in your house all the time, i don't see the point. What do you guys think?

Do you know what i miss? Official ranslucent plastic consoles, with all those funky colors available. It gave the console a personality, something to define the owner. Now it's all sleek black and white...

I agree with you. The fact that noone will be able to see your $100 customized console seems like a waste of money. Why customize if noone sees it? It would look cool to yourself, but the basic thing to customizing is showing it off to other people.

For me, its just a waste of money.
Ive had bought customized controllers before and they broke after a few weeks and my original controller lasted more than it.
Its nothing that important anyways unless you are going to be a show off.

I always prefer the original design. Personally, I see customized cases as a bit tacky, but again, that's just my opinion. And like you said, not many people will get to see it anyway, so as long as it matches the rest of my gadgets, I'd be fine with the original. I'd consider getting a customized one if there was a particular design and color I really like though, but as much as possible I'd like it to keep true to the original design as well.

I think mainly it's a waste of cash, and only if the cases were really cool looking I would get it. I have actually bought a few different customised skins for my PS3 though, but I picked some awesome designs. I think if you find a really nice design then it can be a lot more appealing than a black box standing in your room.
