controller charging issues

Maybe someone knows about charging the controllers?
When I get the message that the controller is low, i connect the controller with the usb cable. I see nothing else happens when I hold the PS button to view the status.

When I reboot the PS4 again, he suddenly begins charging.
The LEDs also tell me nothing on the controller, which is almost always blue, while I read that it should flash when it is charging

Anyone have some experience with charging the controllers?

When I connect the controller to my PC, I keep hearing that windows hardware beep (connect, disconnect, etc)
This happens with both of my controllers, this does not seem quite right.

Your PC is trying to hook up the contoller as a "device" instead of just charging it.
