Controller or Mouse and Keyboard?

I'd prefer using the classic keyboard and a mouse. I find it extremely silly to use an Xbox controller or other controllers for a PC. What's the point in using a PC when your using a controller? THe point of PC gaming is to experience the old-school WASD keyboard and the mouse click.

I have always loved the solidity of a controller as that is what I was brought into gaming with, however once you get used to M&K you quickly realise how good you can become with it and how much of a limiting factor controllers are in preventing good players from becoming beast players. I still go back to my controller no matter how much progress I make with my mouse and keyboard.

I love controllers, they are extremely ergonomic and easy to use. However, theres something to be said about the accuracy of a mouse for shooting someone directly in the face.

Id have to say, while i will never give up controllers for fighting and racing games, i think i will be sticking to keyboard/mouse for first person shooters, real time strategy games (command and conquer) mmorpg and games like civilization or sim city.

Everything ,besides fist person shooters, I prefer to play with a controler. Just feels more relaxed.

When I play PC games I like to do it with mouse and keyboard because I think it's the essence of this type of games. It's a way to change the way you play and a unique form to do it.
I also think that with the keyborad you have more keys and more interaction though sometimes it's harder to hit them correctly...

Even though my first gaming experience was by using a controller, I prefer to use the keyboard and mouse set-up in every game I play. This includes racing games. I just don't feel too comfortable using a controller.

Whether I'm playing either on a console or on the PC, my preference will vary. I prefer to use a controller when playing on a console, while when playing on a PC, which includes playing through an emulator, I prefer using the mouse and keyboard.

I prefer Keyboard and Mouse.
The precision and sensibility of my mouse are simply amazing and I love how you can just change the keybinds to whatever you want. Although, for things like racing games and plataformers I use a controller.

I think controllers are the best for multiplayer video gaming but I mostly use to play games laptop’s mouse pad and key board because I play games during travel. Mouse and key board are not bad but controllers are best. But the only problem is with controller that these are difficult to take in travel.

Depends on the game and method which I am playing.

PC.. Has to be Keyboard/Mouse (used to do controller back in the day... couldn't do it).

PS4 - controller.. Although when FF14 comes to it in.. what.. Feb? I'll probably use Mouse/Keyboard.. same as I do when I play on the PC.

It all depends on the game really. FPS.. has to be a controller. That being said, I won't play a FPS on my PC :P

It depends greatly on what types of games I'm playing, even while on the PC, something like Super Meat Boy or Tomb Raider for example is much better when I use a controller.
Of course that other games like Civilization, or shooters are designed for a mouse and keyboard combination.

Mouse and Keyboard for almost everything except driving games and platformers.

Anything where I have to 'aim' as such I'm just more comfortable on Mouse and Keyboard.

Having used console controllers for soooo many years though I'm pretty happy using either tbh.

If it's for First person shooters, Definitely mouse and keyboard. However when I played Assassin's Creed 1 on the PC, I felt that the controls on the PC were a bit clunky and uncomfortable so controllers would best for any action game other than a FPS.

I started with console gaming, so a controller is very natural for me whereas a keyboard is not. For PC gaming, wherever I can I use an Xbox 360 controller. I definitely enjoy PC games with controller support much more than those where you're force to use keyboard/mouse. Obviously there are some exceptions such as point and click adventure type games.

Definitely mouse and keyboard. Even when you're not playing fps games where the advantages of a mouse and keyboard are very apparent, the mouse and keyboard simply offers you so much more options and customization that you can control more aspects of the game. I still love playing with the controller for more casual games though.

It depends a lot on the kind of game I'm playing and how competitive I wish to be at it. I don't mind playing FPS using a controller, but if I'm playing online against other people with keyboards I will use the keyboard as well. Other games, like Dark Souls and the Prince of Persia series, play terribly using a keyboard in my opinion and I always use a controller.

I've also had some games where I switched during the game. In FPS with aerial vehicles, for example, the controller tends to be much nicer to control those vehicles while running and gunning is much better using K+C.

I plug in a 360 controller when I play fighting games on the PC, I find it easier to play fighting games using a proper controller, keyboard and mouse isn't really made for games like that. I also find it easier to play stealth games using a controller, specially games that requires slow movements, when I play Splinter Cell on a PC I always plug in a controller. But for most games, I prefer using the keyboard and mouse combo, I think keyboard and mouse controls are more accurate and flexible, specially when it comes to FPS games.

I would go for a Mouse or Keyboard. I am too used to using those two things for my gaming. And plus, I am not used to a Xbox controller anymore :/

I'm more partial towards console controllers because I grew up with those all the way from my first video game experience ever. However, I have to admit that mouse and keyboard is pretty nice too, especially for FPS games. I got used to playing Counter Strike on PC and when I played my first good FPS on a PS3, I was already spoiled by the accuracy of KB&M although I still did find the game and controls enjoyable.
