Daylight Gets a Release Date

Daylight, the procedurally generated horror game from Zombie Studios, will be available on PS4 and PC from April 8 for $14.99 / £11.99.

Users on PC will also be able to use Oculus Rift headsets with the title if they're feeling particularly brave. A pretty cool feature that was announced as part of today's reveal is the fact that Twitch chat can be used to scare your friends senseless by cuing in-game events.

The example given is that by typing "meow", the game will suddenly make a cat noise. The aim is to allow you to terrify your mates, but all the events will be on timers to prevent spamming.

I'm really looking forward to this game since I'm already done with Outlast. I enjoy horror games more than any other genre, guess I just like a good scare. I think the Twitch integration is simply brilliant and I'm glad they had enough forethought to consider the spamming and already have a solution established for it. Should be interesting to try come april, although I do wish I could play with an Oculus Rift.

I heard that the length of game play is actually only 30 minutes long. They're gambling on whether or not people will replay it because each new game you play gets a new map generated. I was looking forward to this game, but now i'm not so sure if i'm going to buy it.
