DayZ or Infestation: Survivor Stories (The War Z)

Now Infestation isn't coming to PS4, but I for those who have either played one, both, or watched gameplay of the games which did you prefer? I know Infestation got a really bad rap when it was War Z (both from hackers and the actual management of the game), but there are some who still play it.

I've played both and found DayZ to be the more polished game, but The War Z just seemed more fun. I can't really explain it. It wasn't like DayZ was boring, but even with the hackers pretty much ruining the game at times, The War Z was still worth playing.

While they are the same game, they're different as well. Day Z was more about exploration, actual survival, and scrounging around for spare parts and things like that. There's even some awesome servers now that have full RP rules and are enforced, so people can get kidnapped, certain sectors of the map are controlled by gangs, open trade. It's pretty awesome. WarZ on the other hand is more of an Action FPS game with some minor nuisances from the NPC's. They could completely get rid of the Zombies and just have full PVP and it'd be pretty much the exact thing.

As which one I prefer, I personally HATED WarZ. The game was awful, it took far to long to give players the 'Promised' content, in which they still haven't released any other map besides the first one. (We're supposed to have 3 of them.) and the combat is pretty mediocre. DayZ was great because it was still ArmA which came with it's own flaws, but the map size, player limit, exploration, and just the grand scheme of things was awesome. Finding a helicopter and taking to the skies to call out a camp, mark it down, then attack it at night fall was beautiful

Exactly what HydraForce said. DayZ was all about exploration and had an actual survival element to it which should always be #1 when it comes to anything featuring zombies. WarZ was just a FPS that is supposed to be about zombies, but are pretty much just there to warrant putting the game out. I used to play DayZ, but I watched WarZ gameplay often (mainly because there was one guy on Twitch who made it more enjoyable than it probably was) and it was more about keeping from other players shooting you and hoping a zombie don't appear than having to deal with both players and zombies evenly.

Those are pretty much sentiments on the two. WarZ is good for mindless, nonstop shooting that just so happens to feature zombies while DayZ is a more of a zombie survival title. I mainly played WarZ, but always wanted to play DayZ after seeing other people actually enjoy it.

Initially I thought they were like the same series, but watching the gameplay and eventually playing it really showed the difference. Outside of the gameplay and focus, it's basically the same game though.
