Destiny

As a long time Bungie fan I was going nuts to see Destiny tonight. Marty's music, that character movement, awesome. It looks like Halo meets Borderlands and some MMO and Mass Effect mixed in. I firmly believe this will be the next top game even surpassing CoD. The PS4 version looks like the lead platform so I am very excited to see how this plays out.

Yes. This game looked fantastic. That seems to be my word of the day with all the announcements from E3 "Fantastic. Anyways, I really like the idea of meeting up with a team mate on the battlefield. And it seems perfect for some good ol' fashioned co-op fun.

EDIT: Just in case you guys were interested, here's the first gameplay footage for Destiny.

I like it but I think I need to see a little bit more before I can jump on the bandwagon. It just seems like something we've all seen before. I mean, what did we really see that was new or innovative. I think that the game will do extremely well but in terms of pushing the boundaries and limits of creativity and gameplay mechanics, I just didn't see it in that portion that was shown at the PS4 conference

I didn't care much for the concept until I saw it in action last night at E3. I was floored, absolutely astounded at how much fun this looks. I'll be getting this on day one without a doubt. Can't wait to run around with my friends and just have a blast.

I get a MMO (public events) and Borderlands vibe from that video more than I get any Halo vibe. I am not a fan of ADS, I thought they would stick to the way it was in Halo scoped in. The graphics look good, I think the huge sandbox is incredible. It's still early and this game is a year from launch. I really hope there is a Halo like competitive MP.

Adam Sessler did a great interview with Bungie. So the public events are totally independent from the main course of the progress of you character. Its really built to invest in your own character like a MMO. I cannot post links yet but its up on Rev3games channel on youtube.

The more I see the more I can't wait.

But that could be said about Halo as well to a certain extent. The elements in Halo were not exactly unique to gaming when they first hit the scene, but the polish, art, and story really sold that particular combination of gameplay elements. I have a feeling that Bungie will be able to pull something similar off with Destiny. You are right, we have all seen the same elements in other great games, nothing really stood out as truly innovative, but that's not been Bungie's MO. If it's fun, and able to keep my attention for more than a few weeks (like any MMO-style game should), I think they will have succeeded. As their first real big multi-platform release, I am excited to see how it turns out!

Switching over from Xbox this game, infamous, killzone, and don't starve (one of the indie games they showed) are going to be on my buy list day one. Now I only help the size of the controller won't feel weird.

I don't know how much was the game "staged", but for what i have seen, i really enjoyed it. A mix of Halo with the world of Borderlands, maybe a little more interesting even.
So yeah, if i don't get this on the PS4, i will definitely try it out somewhere else where i can.

I wonder what the limits of the shared world will be? I mean is it possible PS3 players can be in the same world as the PS4 players? That would be great for population. Depending on how MMO this really is all you are talking about are different clients connecting. Obviously the PS3 version would not have the nicer graphics but the game would be the same.

This game is going to be epic. The moment when I saw the player holding the gun in his hand at the start, I knew that I am going to love this game when it will come out. The whole presentation was really well done to elaborate on all aspects of the game in only few minutes of gameplay. I want some more footage NOW!

It looks pretty amazing, if its going to be like Borderlands then i think i will be getting it i loved Borderlands and the way it was like a huge world game and you could collect money etc and then buy stuff around the map.
