Developer's Future with the PS 4

So, to none techies the PS 4 is a beast that has AMD technology through out the system. Its basically built like a giant awesome sauce computer. Because of this developers will probably have a pretty easy time developing for it. What do you hope comes out of it in the end?

I myself want to see some more original IP's instead of Uncharted 9 and God of War 10. I actually do like those games, but if I'm going to put the money out for the PS 4 I want an experience that isn't going to recycle assets. Don't get me wrong, I like the story of continuing franchises as well but I'm hoping for some real innovation.

I hope that the PS 4 is easier to make arcadish titles for. Zombie Nation (I hope I got that game correct) is awesome and I'd love to see more like that, and with the power of the PS 4 it should be really great graphics as well.

If it's true that it's a little easier to develop for this console, then I'd say that all I want is another run like the time of the PS2, which I think is pretty much what you said you want as well, if I'm not mistaken. What I wouldn't like to see, however, is too much realism. I'm afraid they are going to go crazy with these graphics and try to make everything too realistic, and I'd miss the "fantasy" aspect of gaming which is what I prefer in an activity meant to serve as an escape. If everything is too realistic, I'm afraid it will eventually feel just as boring and sh*tty as real life. :D Maybe that's just me though, and I might also be wrong, of course.

I have somewhat the same anxiety ...

There are two ways to see this.
In the first situation, the developers will create a lot of games without really innovate. So they make money without giving something back. It is not uncommon to see it (COD?).

In the second situation, you can see it in a positive way. Developers will have the facility has developed and used the power of the console. We will win because we have the best games even more beautiful and clean than before.

Be optimistic!!!;)

I think they will definitely develop shit. I think that's part of having an easily accessible system. Developers will make foul terrible things that will gather dust at Game Stop and be put on Amazon for $5. Its not those titles that I care about, this will give every Indie studio out there the same grounds to compete with larger studios and make games that could be the next big IP. Opening yourself up to this also gives you future competition against a Valve Console the Steam Box. I think that's the way it will be. The good thing is that with gaming, the market easily determines what's good and what's not. You never have to guess usually.

I would like to see a new Silent Hill Game Developed by "Team Silent" the original Developers of the first 3 Silent Hill Games!!!

but I would love to see some games developed to use Oculus Rift!
imaging Playstation Playroom + Oculus Rift! :-O

or ofter games in the future there are so many possibilities.
