DICE confirmes Battlefield 4 will use Kinect

Dice confirms Battlefield 4 on Xbox One will use Kinect | Games | Geek.com

Developer DICE has confirmed that their new FPS battlefield 4 will make use of the Xbox One's Kinect device but gamers don't have to worry as DICE knows that being that it's a first person shooter game, motion controls really wouldn't make all that much sense. So, from that news, we can most likely expect that Kinect will be used more so for navigating through things like menus. I guess we will learn more soon.

I am not worried Dice knows what they are doing. So far I have not seen any good use for Kinect in a FPS. You are to involved the be messing around with commands and such.

I am not really sure how this will work out, but I have faith in DICE. In addition to that, I am not that affected since I am a PC gamer most of the time. Nevertheless, this is very interesting and I hope DICE would be able to figure this out.

Sigh, what the hell are they trying to achieve here. It's just an unnecessary gimmick. I would much rather sit back on my couch and enjoy the game rather than having to sit at the right angle so that the kinect can see me and then wave my arms around like a maniac because some devs thought that it was a good idea. I really don't like this and I hope that it will be optional or at least well thought out.

I don't see the point of having it for Battlefield 4. I mean Future Soldier had motion controls for the gun smith but it was basically just a big waste of time.
I don't see why they need to put motion controls in a game that has been doing great with controller and keyboard for ages. Maybe it will work well but I just don't see that happening.
