DICE Finally Addressing Battlefield 4 Problems

So finally DICE themselves have come out to address the issues that people are having with Battlefield 4. They are acknowledging all the issues that have come with the game and are also offering so bonuses to players in an attempt to pacify them until the patch is released. Which is cool since it does offer something to people who paid $60-$70 (if you paid for the next-gen upgrades).

Dice Letter on Battlefield 4

Well, Dice is a good company but they could have been misinformed about the problem. Not sure what the hell was going on and had no way to figure it out. I'm hoping it's all fixed, and on ps3 too.

I'm glad that DICE addressed it because EA didn't do them or Battlefield 4 any favors with their comments on the matter. DICE at least seems to get that there is a problem, people are angry and they are responding to that by giving out some freebies and promising to solve it. I hope they do, and I hope that they tell EA to never speak for them again because those comments did not help the cause.

Its about time, i love DICE but it took them awhile to step up to the plate and work to fix the problems with Battlefield 4

alot of the times it may not seem like a big problem. Heck alot of the time it may be a TINY problem that looks big to players. If they come right out and say "we have a big problem" it turns people off to the game.

As it is, they admitted it now and from what i understand, we'll be getting double XP week soon...

That's all they can do at the moment so you can't really blame DICE, they seem concerned and are trying to fix the issues as soon as possible.
The bonuses are a cool move too, I'm sure people will understand.

I don't think "double experience" is enough for a game that came out with so many problems. At least give the first and second DLC pack for free, it's not like they will lose that much money out of that. Maybe a map pack of Battlefield 3?

$20 a map pack times 2 times how many people that play BF4 and you think it won't cost EA that much money, lol that's millions of dollars in revenue. You sir are dreaming, with all the problems we had with BF3 EA didn't do squat for us. At least they're doing something for everyone this time.

This is EA who ignored the SimCity debacle, still won't address all the bugs and glitches with The Sims 3, refuses to even discuss what happened with Battlefield 4 until poor DICE had to come out and address the situation, so why should we have expected anything different. At DICE is trying to do something, if EA had their way they'd still be ignoring the problem.

It takes a good company to acknowledge there are problems and say they will address them. Glad they did.

Upgraded to BF4 Premium today.

My understanding is that DICE is not only on top of fixing the game, they made a statement today saying that they had identified the 3 major issues with Battlefield 4, but that they were also doing a double xp week starting really soon. I think either this or next week. Also and this I do know the date of, on December 5th they were giving out a special scope to whoever logged in. It's usually only available to the devs. So DICE really is dedicated to making good.

On the flip side its almost to be expected that a game will have issues at launch. BF3 had issues, GTA V had issues, Sim City had issues. Diablo III had issues. Name one HUGE game that launched without issue? Everyone knows early adopters pay the price when it comes to stability

Dont like it? dont early adopt

A lot of games have issues, the only difference is in how the companies choose to address the issue. Nintendo has a great reputation for being on top of things when their games have glitches, Rock Star worked hard and rewarded players who stuck with the GTA Online errors, EA and Maxis didn't do that great with the SimCity controversy, and now again with Battlefield 4. DICE had to come in and deal with it. In conclusion, I blame EA.
