DICE laying the hammer on people complaining about Battlefield 4

I know that in posts people have been pretty kind to DICE for stepping up and acknowledging all the problems that Battlefield 4 has. They've even started giving out some freebies to afflicted gamers, however I'm sensing that the leniency is going to end. If you go onto the official Battlefield 4 forums and complain about in-game issues then any upvotes you have turn into downvotes. And it's not trolls doing it but DICE. Stay Classy guys.

DICE Trolling BF4 Forums

Well, they don't want people to know about the issues with BF 4 and want everyone to buy the game. As simple as that.

I am going to be very honest in saying that DICE knew about all the issues the moment the game went live. People flocking to forums to complain is only causing discontent among the forums goers and its putting DICE in a bad light. Fixes for these issues take time even for a studio like DICE. People need to remember that developers are very busy people at launch. They probably got tired of hearing the same thing over and over.

I can understand wanting to get the game out and wanting it to have a good face and not the bad views being highlighted (even if they're based on a company's rushed, fly by night work on a project)...but when your work is just that and hindering people enjoying it you kind of need to stop dragging ass and just fix it instead of passing out hush stuff.

Yeah there is no excuse for DICE to punish people for reporting the issues with the game. It keeps the issue fresh and prevents them from sweeping it under the rug. You have to keep on top of companies sometimes to make sure that they fix the problems. It's not about harrassing DICE, they really shouldn't be doing this because it makes them look bad.

It really does make them look bad to get on their community's case when they put out a janky product. It's nice that they offered something to try get people to simmer down, but what players want most is just to be able to play a mostly functional game at least.

Read the comments on the article, they are saying how it could be a bug and if you re-check the site it actually shows upvotes. I doubt Dice would do something like that to the fans, they create good games.

Is this why it was $35 on Black Friday. I ended up buying the game since I thought it was a steal. I ended up not being able to play it since I have the 4gb Xbox 360 slim and it wouldn't accept my USB hard drive as well.

Interesting discussion, I cannot truly believe DICE has done this. It must be a bug or a mistake by a developer. In my opinion, they are one of the best developers and are listening really to the community.

I'd like to think that it was a mistake because originally, except for actually fixing the problems, I thought that DICE was doing a great job in pacifying people who had bought the game. They came out to admit their mistakes, they also gave out freebies to help gamers out so this is something I definitely don't want to be true.
