Sharing Digital Content (Games)

hi all, i just have a quick question,
I'm going to purchase a 2nd hand 2 month old PS4 and the owner has several digital games on the console, and what I was wondering is if when i login with MY psn will these games be available to me to play or is it just for that user (the current owner)

Pretty sure digital games are tied to your PSN acccount and not the console itself. I think the only way you would be able to play the games is if it's assigned as a primary PS4 and his account info is still in there. I think then all the users on that system would be able to access the games. I'm not 100% sure though. If I'm the guy selling it, I'd factory reset it so I don't get screwed over, but hey that's just me.

I think there is a way you would be able to play it. Something about primary accounts and stuff... I wouldn't count on being able to play those games..

It depends on if he leaves his account on the system.. in that case you could.. otherwise no..

As far as I know you need to be logged into his PSN account in order to play the digital games that he has on his PlayStation 4. While I am not 100 percent sure, I am sure Sony just isn't going to let people play games for free with a potential loop whole as simple as this.

Like others have said, If he leaves it as his primary you will be good to go. If it is his secondary you would have to be logged into his account. He can not change it from his primary from another system but he can call Sony and have it changed that way.

I just wish they would take a leaf out of steams book and make it so you can share your library when it comes to certain games!
Would be so nice for everyone and they should also do sales when it comes to the store!
