Disney is killing Star Wars 1313

I think if you're a fan you've probably heard the rumors about this but it looks pretty official. Disney has dropped the trademark. Ever since Disney pretty much killed LucasArts, I was thinking that there was no way this project was ever going to happen and now it looks like we're going to have to accept it. Of course I held out some brief hope when they sold the license to the games to EA (why Disney WHY) but yeah nope it's dead.

Disney handing over the key to the city to EA gave me a sinking feeling when it happened last summer. It really sucks that that 1313 was dropped.

I'm concerned about this. I don't like the fact that out of all the publishers they could have given the franchise to, they had to choose EA? E everything we make needs a patch because we're too greedy not to make sure our games work before release A? Why not Ubisoft at least they seem to give a damn about their properties.

I thought the game was very promising when it was unveiled two years ago. It's sad to know that we'll never know how the game will turn out. Anyway, maybe it's because EA have been publishing Star Wars game all this time that Disney decided that it's best to give it to a company that have worked with Star Wars before.

I think it's pretty hard to deny the fact that the game is pretty much dead. Unless EA decided to do something, and they might since they've never passed up a chance to make cash, it isn't going to happen. I'm hoping for the best here but the fact that the copyright is gone makes me think it's over.
