Actually I was thinking about Spider Man or Batman. I played TLOU and also finished the story: I think it's too early for him so far. Portal 2 is a good idea, thank you

its an amzing game and it might still be a bit to early but it could be his first legit m game in like three years

Yes, I think TLOU is too strong for a young kid. I played it during last august, when I was alone home, so I had no raids from my son. Personally I didn't like it too much. The story is nice, very sweet and human, but there are too many monsters for my own tastes. I'd avoid for the moment wars, blood and zombies (except for PlantsVSZombies maybe) and in general, adult contents like bad words, and so on.

Nowadays there are too many occasions where children are involved with adults stuffs, without the need to increase that quantity with our videogames.
Who is a father (or mother) knows it very well because, sometimes, kids make such questions that are really outside any childish point of view, only because they ear a conversation at school or watch a TV spot that is broadcast in the wrong time of the day.

like you said the batman games might be great in like a year. when i was his age i knew alot more things than most other kids. like the state of our economy and such. my mom saw that if i played a game like this, i wouldnt try and punch my brother with a nerf gun(but he did do it to me) or "strafe jump" over something and think if i killed myself i would come back. this was at the age of twelve i played halo, portal, batman, and assassins creed, but i loved puzzle games to so games like limbo were pretty fun to me.
then came my little rebel #@$hole brother. never listened, and only punished by his dad. in second grade he wrote a fictional poem. his was about being chased by....let me just give you exact quotes.
"i had a dream that i was being chased by zombies. there were runners and crawlers. i tricked them into running into a fire so i could take my bowie knife and knife them." call of duty at seven wasnt a good idea, just an excuse to play xbox with me, hell i wasnt even able to play call of duty till 5th grade.

My idea is that children's imagination is not complete yet: they do not have enough references to split the virtual from the reality efficiently. They're simply not ready to be adults because they're not experienced enough. Obvious, isn't it? Also with Lego Marvel, my son isn't allowed to play for more than a couple of hours, only during the weekends and only if all his homeworks are well done. I noticed that if he plays too long, he becomes the incredible Hulk, with all the consequences that the situation brings.

I agree Derri. I think this is the next game I am going to buy for my son
